Thank you, I wanted to clarify that, too. The people wearing are memories of people he knew, I'm guessing. I think the person on the swing passed out is his mother who writes about because she left him.

The video is filmed in Iceland. The lady on the swing represents his mom who died from an overdose on pills. He said one of his biggest burdens was he didn't call to talk to her before she died. And he never really forgave her for leaving them. But before he came out with this song he said he forgave her. That's why he left some some of his burdens at the swing with her.

@creaminthecoffee no problem. That's why when he's leaving his burdens at the swing he says "I've been making a whole lot of changes". Because when asked in an interview about the song "how could you leave us" he said he doesn't feel any animosity towards his mom anymore like he had when he wrote that song.

@@kevinsykes2549 the lady on the swing does not represent his mom dying 😂 I do like that you put it like tho but it’s not to all NF fans we don’t know what the people in white mean yet I believe that the people in white are his followers he has all the burdens and his followers have only some I’m still confused on leave me alone and why he was given white close only NF can answer that but again it does not symbolize his mom dying

Congratulations on discovering one of my favorite artists! I'm a bit of an "NF Reaction addict", so I stumbled upon your channel this morning. A few things... This video ("The Search") was shot in Iceland. You did a great job trying to decipher the symbolism -- the balloons indeed represent his burdens -- but, as you mentioned, you're missing some context; this song is the first song off his 2019 album "The Search". He weaves together a lot of symbols throughout his music/videos, beginning with his 2015 album "Mansion" (followed by "Therapy Session" 2016, and "Perception" 2017). He had to take a break after "Perception" due to him falling into a deep depression (which he dives into more on "The Search" album). The shopping cart represents a "portable cage" -- which only really makes sense if you go back to his earlier stuff. So my recommendation, if you want to fully understand NF's music, would be to take the "NF Journey"! Someone else will (hopefully) come along and provide the full list, but to get you started, I'd suggest you go back to the "Mansion" album and do "All I Have", "Intro", "Mansion", and "Wake Up" -- those will set a solid foundation. Here's hoping you do more NF! #nfrealmusic

Subbed! NF is amazing! 🎶 This is for anyone new who may want to take the NF journey as we call it because he intertwines his music like marvel movies. All of his albums are like a connected series. He also hides eggs in his videos which he directs and co produces. For example in his “when i grow up” song there were two hidden eggs in that song: 1. A black balloon by the trash cans (black balloon represents his burdens per search single) 2 In the burger joint he grabbed at receipt that had the date and time of when his song time was being released. Additionally, he had outcast written on his name tag in the janitor scene whic references his Outcast song. Another example is in the search song he had cage in background he rapped in from his outcast song. The black smile you will see painted on his mouth is explained in his therapy session song. Here is the song order: MANSION ALBUM: 1. All I have (VIDEO) 2. Intro (VIDEO) 3. Mansion- *will connect to Intro 3. Fear moved in. Also connects to paid my dues. Anger lives in basement* 4. Wake Up (VIDEO) 5. Paralyzed 6. Wait (VIDEO) 7. Notepad (VIDEO) *He explains why he does not cuss in his music🎶* THERAPY SESSION ALBUM: 1. Intro 2 (VIDEO) *He calls out his song wake up and has names of all songs written on walls from this album. You will also see references to his intro song as well.* 2. Therapy Session (VIDEO) Very important song. Explains his black smile he paints on his mouth. 3. I just wanna know (VIDEO) 4. How could you leave us-(VIDEO) Please have tissues nearby. 5. Real song- (VIDEO) * He pays homage to Lil Wayne in this song by using his famous line feed me rappers or feed me beats but adding feed me both of them 🔥* 6. Grindin’ ft. Marty (VIDEO) 7. Oh Lord-* This song gets referred to in returns song two albums later.* Great song 8. Statement *He pays homage to eminem and drake in this song* Warm Up -(VIDEO) Single released between albums. (hype song) Epiphany- collab with futuristic. (VIDEO) *He pays homage to meek mill.* Green lights (VIDEO) * This was the first video released before perception came out. Please pay attention to what he has written on the notepad at the end. PERCEPTION ALBUM: 1. Outro (VIDEO) *pay attention to the video. It is like avengers endgame how he connects tons of previous videos materials in this.* 2. Intro 3 (one of his best songs) *This connects to mansion single. Remember fear reference. 3. Outcast (VIDEO) 4. Know- *He pays homage to eminem and 21 pilots* (hype) 5. Destiny (hype) 6. One hundred (hype) 7. Let you down (VIDEO) please watch to the very very end! Plots twist. 8. If you want love (VIDEO) 9. Remember this- *💎 Gems all over this track!* Single: No Name. (VIDEO) *This gets connected in leave me alone song an album later.* Single: Why- (VIDEO) *NF pays big homage to Big Sean as he uses his flow from bounce back in this and mentions Big Seans name and his album I decided. (This isnt nates flow he says) Also he has a ton of eggs like Dont mess with real music written on walls. Pay attention to all writing on the walls* SEARCH ALBUM Whole album should be listened to but you can choose which you would like to do: 1 The search (VIDEO) *He pays homage to kanye west. (Cant tell me nothing by kanye and he puts his hands on his head liek kanye did in video) this also connects to outcast re the cage in background)* 2. When I grow up (VIDEO) *He pays homage to Adele. (To me he also did to snoop in opening scene with kids saying what they wanted to be when they grow up)* Hidden eggs in this 3. Leave me alone (VIDEO) * This connects to no name single.* 4. Change 5. My stress 6. Nate 7. Time (VIDEO) 8. Returns- (hype song) one of his best for flow switches and word play- connects to oh lord single 9. Only 10. Let me go 11. Interlude then I hate myself song 12. I miss the days 13. No excuses (hype song) 14. Like this 15. Options (hype song) connects to clouds video with the ref scene 16. Thinking 17. Trauma singing only song. Amazing Paid My Dues (VIDEO) It was to the awful article rolling stones put out because the writer was a big chance the rapper fan and was pissed NF took number one spot. Over 400 people bashed that writer in the comments lol Chasing -demo he did with a fan. CLOUDS THE MIXTAPE- 1. Clouds (VIDEO) * This connects to outcast single turn the music up and options singles* 2. Lost ft Hopsin (VIDEO) 3. Story (VIDEO) 4. That’s a Joke (pays homage to J Cole from no role modelz) 5. Just like you 6. Prideful 7. Layers 8. Drifting 9. Trust ft Tech N9ne Also there is many good songs not on this list like Dreams and you’re special etc. At some point take the time and go back through and listen to them all at some point. 🖤

Love the reaction. This a trip through his mind. The people in the white may be emotions that are burdens to him. He personifies emotions in lots of his lyrics. The people/clothes are "explained" in the Leave Me Alone video. (still cryptically explained but you get some more context). In Leave Me Alone, they are trading in their black clothes for the white clothes you see in this video, and getting the fake smile painted on from his Therapy Session song. Which I think is symbolizing they're on the path to "getting better" but are still faking it, and he's the outcast still wearing black and not "joining the club" and going along with them. Still trying to find his own way. There's way more to that video but you'll get there (hopefully)

He has said out of his own mouth even in therapy session single he makes music for everyone Each intro will always have no hooks and heavy orchestral sounds to it. He hides eggs in almost all videos. This was filmed in iceland. He co directs and co produces his videos. He is walking away from cage from outcast single which represents his mind. The cart is a more portable version to me. Balloons are his burdens. The cart and balloons were introduced in why single a year before this came out. Leave me alone connects to this. He paid homage to Kanye West in this too. From kanyes cant tell me nothing song and he put his hands on his head like kanye did in that video. We assume that is his mom who passed on swing from his how could you leave us single .

Nf built a world and alot of music up until clouds kinda was about those burdens and dealing with them. So to break it down the balloons are his burdens, I forget what the shipping cart was or if it was addressed, you also see the cage again in outcast, face paint in why and references to his house (his head and mental state) and the mansion (first album, again kinda goes back to the house reference)

I'm really happy to see that you are on path of following the journey list that was provided to you. NF references so much his earlier work on his current one that you make better videos if you know what he is talking about. Personally I rarely follow people who decides to go against the journey list because I don't have patience for them trying to figure out something that came before and doesn't make sense to them now since they jumped over it. Though you clearly doing good job with figuring out his clues by yourself too so I think this is going to be enjoyable journey to follow just because of that alone. I would also suggest that you watch this video again to refresh your memory before you move the next one on the journey list, you don't need to do it on camera, since the video that comes after this continues the story from this video. And enjoy the journey!

From they way first I heard him described, he's less a Christian Rapper and more a rapper who happens to be Christian. I like that description as I tend to consider myself more as more agnostic, yet there's so much of his music that can speak to all faiths. I am just starting the NF journey playlist. I'd love to see you react to Just Like You, if you haven't yet.

This song and video are reminiscent of the book of Exodus… NF is out the the cage/bondage from the tyrant/pharaoh/fear that has ruled his mind- with the keys that have been given to him now he is on the search in the desert/wilderness looking for the the "map to hope." Even though NF is liberated he still carries his burdens and human baggage much like the Israelites did.

The cage came from his album Perception. It represents being trapped in his own mind. His burdens are the balloons and the people are like other mental patients (I think) now Ik the shopping cart was in his music video WHY but idk. I’m guessing the swing represents his emotions or something. In his song Face it from the Mansion album his lyrics say “life is a playground. I go through these mood swings watch everything slide down” so maybe the swing was a reference to that but idk that could be a stretch.
