Howie real strength is managing the salary cap, crunching numbers to retain the player's that he wants to keep! He's drafted well over the past couple of years and made some savvy trades! He also drafted Hurts, he deserves some credit! He's the best GM in Eagles history

Most of our fanbase was pissed about the Hurts 2nd rd pick in 2020 and all the Draft experts said Howie reached but look how that worked out. Even with some misses in past drafts(Reagor over Jefferson) Howie has always been amazing with the numbers part, Salary cap and locking up players early on team friendly contracts while alot of teams wait too long and lose key players or have to overpay.

I’m an Eagles fan and think Howie did a great job at the draft. BUT….I do agree that everyone goes overboard at the draft because you don’t know how these guys will turn out. On paper he did great, and it’s fun to speculate. But alot of my fellow Eagles fans are calling him a genius and I refuse to concede that point with any draft.

I’m biased BUT it’s how he did it, we had a top 10 pick when we made the Super Bowl, Nolan smith fell into our lap, and last year with the pick up of AJ was crazy, pretty much AJ brown for Treylon burks. Howie is also amazing at finding late round hits, Kelce, Ertz, malatia, and others

The draft analysts have been handing out A grades like they're participation ribbons this year, so im not sure who's complaining. But if the other teams don't like the praise the Eagles are getting, maybe they should do something about it on the field.

Keep in mind Howie gave up a 4th round pick for Swift if he walks after this year the Eagles will get a compensatory 4th round pick. The rest of the GM's be sleepin'.

Howie has always been one of the best when it comes to negotiating contracts. I think we're seeing that he's finally accepted that he wasn't the best with identying talent. Im almost certain he's letting his scouts, staff, an even players, have more of an input than ever before when it comes to additions. You pair that with Nick, who put his pride aside and gave up play calling, and its a less stressful environment all around. Everyone is contributing. Gotta love it

I'm trying to figure out what's so "genius" about the picks. He had a really high #1...and took a highly rated player. He had another #1...and took another high rated player (that slipped because of health concerns). As long as he doesn't Raider the draft, it's kinda hard to miss on draft night, like that. We'll see how everyone pans out in a few years, but it's not like he's picking Travis Kelce/Justin Houston in the 3rd, Tyreek Hill in the 5th, Tom Brady in the 6th. THAT'S where real genius GMs make their mark. 1st rounds are for simply not f*cking up.

As a Chiefs fan, it's hard to say anything since Veach is considered the best GM in the draft right now. But I will say, there's a huge difference in drafting the best available player on the board while having made trades to amass draft picks and finding under value or raw talent that can be developed. KC/Veach shouldn't get tons of praise for overdrafting Nick Bolton. He's a great pick and did well, but he was projected to go early-mid 3rd round. But Jaylen Watson in the 7th being a major player as a rookie is what separates Veach's picks from other GMs. How many GMS have had 9 of 11 rookies from one draft make the roster and contribute? The Eagles have been good, but "best available" is standard drafting. The Raiders get trashed year after year for ignoring the best available and going with their guys that rarely turn out better than the best available. But where both KC and Philly excel is working the cap and amassing draft capital while letting go of overpriced talent that won't live up to the price tag.
