Brian Dawkins and Roy Williams were two of the last safeties who were able to use their physical play to destroy WRs who went across the middle. It’s a shame the rules were changed to allow players to run across the middle with little to no consequence but I get it. Those guys were getting jacked up.

greg smith well this is old nfl not new nfl this nfl was great they made this game soft sayin these hits are illegal thats old football where if the quarter back threw across the middle and a db was sittin on that route if the wr was passed to he would get popped and there would be no flag so qbs had to think smarter cause qbs these days just throw to whoever is open by a little bit and the wr gets hit hard thats a flag cause even if he did not catch the ball they would still get yards
