Which play? 3:35 is in fact intentional grounding as it didn’t make it back to the line of scrimmage and it didn’t hit the defender and the defender holding his non passing hand wasn’t ruled as significant enough

@@morthaug the defender's arm hit the QB's arm. That was not intentional grounding. I'm not even a fan of either team but I know for a fact that the Falcons were screwed over that game and it was rigged in favor of the Ravens.

@@ARandomInternetUser08NFL rule 8.2.b: “Intentional grounding should not be called if: the passer is out of the pocket, and his passing motion is significantly affected by physical contact from a defensive player that causes the ball to land short of the line of scrimmage.” They ruled the contact as not significant enough for it not to be intentional grounding

@@morthaug significant in this case can be subjective and can mean different things. To one person, significant might simply just be how much physical force there is, but to another person, significant might be how much the contact affected the person no matter how hard the hit was. It looked like it was both here. It was obvious he was trying to throw it down the field but it barely went anywhere because his arm was hit. That aside, I don't even know if he was in the pocket. If he wasn't, then it shouldn't even matter whether or not he was hit when throwing it.
