Most NFL players would love to have long careers and be very consistent throughout their time in the league, but that can't always be the case. Sometimes there is a player that does extremely well in one season and then falls off completely for the rest of their career. This is otherwise known as a "one season wonder" NFL player. Those are the types of guys that we are covering today and it should bring back memories if you have been watching football for a long time.

People don't realize Josh Gordon had DUDS throwing to him and he was able to put up 1600+ yards on 14 games. If dude could lay off drugs, he would've been a HOFer. I hate to say it, but it wasn't just weed. He went to rehab for coke and I could imagine that, along with one offs of other drugs, probably reduced his athletic ability. Truly a shame

I haven't finished the video but Blair Walsh. Had a monster rookie season. Went 35 of 38 and was perfect from 50+ yards and perfect on extra points. Then something happened the next season and he started missing extra points. The years after, either he was great with field goals and was missing extra points. Or he made all his extra points, but was missing a significant amount of field goals.

2017 Carson Wentz is the greatest QB I've ever seen. I actually feel bad for him because had he not gotten hurts, he might've been truly incredible. But the injury and then his backup winning the Super Bowl shook his confidence I think and he was never the same.
@CC-rb1yf
@CC-rb1yf Ай бұрын
He still had some decent numbers other seasons. Next season he was injured again but had 3000 yards in 11 games and 4000 yards in '19. '21 with Colts he still had 27 TDs but everyone only remembers them choking to miss playoffs. Hurts being drafted likely hurt his confidence more
@vinceventura4453

Saying any version of wentz even his best season which wasn’t even an mvp season is the best quarterback you have ever seen is such a try hard attention seeking comment . Wentz literally blew it every time the lights were bright he threw a pick , or fumbled the ball . No he did not have a good year for the colts you guys are repeating stats you did not watch the games , his stats always came in garbage time when the game was already lost and the defense could careless about you dinking and dunking down the field .
@ftdaj
@ftdaj 22 күн бұрын
@@vinceventura4453 His 2017 was an MVP season until he got hurt. You call me attention seeking then go on this tangent. You also talk about watching the games and not just looking at stats, which if you did, you would know that his 2017 season was elite, again, until he got hurt. I'm not saying he should've won MVP or anything. All I'm saying is that the first part of the season he was incredible. I may have exaggerated in saying he was the best I've ever seen, but I still think it was one of the best I've ever seen.

What's really sad about the Josh Gordon suspensions is a few years later the nfl changed their policy on weed, but still dude had a problem and even admitted it he said he would pop a couple shots and or smoke some weed before a game let alone on his free time, all he had to do was just stop smoking and drinking for a month before the pee test and it's not like nfl players don't know when it's coming, glad he got better though at least I'm assuming but would of been nice to have the next Megatron on the browns. Also he had that season with 4 or 5 different starting qbs as well

He would have rewritten the 70s as we know them, and seriously damaged both the raiders and Steelers and dolphins legacies. Is coach Bill Walsh believed that he was the most talented quarterback he had ever seen, more then either Steve Young or Joe Montana or Ken Anderson. One injury that the Bengals front office couldn't seem to manage and Cook's Hall of Fame potential was gone in a blank
