I understand not wanting teams to make a full choreographed dance to celebrate a touchdown but I've never understood how strict they are with touchdown celebrations lol. With how hard they worked to get there and how hard they work to stay there, they deserve a little dancy dance

When T.O. signed the football, he did it using a marker he had smuggled in his uniform. He was literally running around with it in his sock. Follow that with Joe Horn putting a cell phone in the padding of the goal posts and they decided to make a rule.

I am proud to say, Nickell Robey-Coleman, former DB LA Rams, Bills, Raiders, & Eagles, was one of the Players I coached in HS in Florida. Also, I taught all my DBs, as did my College DB Coach at UAlabama, that if you are burnt for a possible TD or Big Play, go ahead and commit P.I., tackle them, trip them, stop them at all costs. Because 15yds for the P.I. penalty, is better than 6 points for the TD. Oh, and Yes, he did commit PI vs Saints that led to the Rule Change. We both are still shocked they didn't throw the flag.....

I'm not surprised about the Gambling rule because recently in the NHL, a player for the Ottawa Senators got a 41 game suspension for illegal gambling and won't be back until January 21st 2024 That's basically half the Season without pay

I always think that betting on your own team to win is kind of absurd to get fined for. Now if you were betting on the score outcome then maybe, but if its "win or loss" kind of bet and you say your team is going to win every time, is that really something you can influence outside of just being the best player you can be?

@@Culvey that depends, if you signed a 5 year contract for $51K, you decide to go all-in saying your team is going to win but they lost by 1 point, do you think it's better to keep on gambling everytime you get paid? I mean you don't have to go all-in but some people have gambling addiction where they'll always go all-in Think of it as the Carolina Panthers where they were losing every single game before they got their first win of the Season

@@trollo_ed8869 ok... and the point is? Gambling addiction has nothing to do with making the game unfair or invalid unless they are betting on specific point spreads or betting to lose. If he wants to blow all of his money gambling on literally anything else then it doesn't matter at all to the NFL or any other sports league. He could blow all his money on any legal activity, stupid or otherwise and the leagues don't care. Sure, betting on your own team to win every game is kind of absurd, but what harm does it do to the fairness of the game?

PAM to make them slippery, and Pro Grip to give you sticky hands still goes on. We were doing this in the’70’s in high school. This was back when the game was played on grass and you’d see receivers with a lot of grass clippings stuck to their hands.👍

I'll never ever forget one my JUCO coaches telling our team long hair hanging out is part of the jersey. If it's hanging out, you can grab it like a jersey making a tackle.

So, if you don't talk to the media, you'll get fined. However, if you say something the league doesn't like while performing your obligated duty of talking to the media, you'll get fined.

The first one is easy, you need to be upfront about your medications. At least when you are under a sport where WADA does the testing. You apply for a TUE therapeutic use exemption for medications you require, and there are no other non-banned medications, that are effective. It’s on the Athlete to get the exemption, prior to competing and to reapply when the TUE expires. It’s not hard.

I don't see how you're allowed to grab someone's hair from behind. Sudden change in momentum like that can cause insane whiplash, headaches (from hair being ripped out of your head), and neck damage. I think it's a really stupid rule

I don’t not what you mean by rule 17. It was a face mask to face mask hit that’s legal. Its illegal when it’s the tip of the head hit because of spine compression. I remember face mask hit where required.

Targeting is a real penalty. When a player quite literally uses their head to ram into another players head. It is most common in College Football. (Go Florida State)

There used to be a speech read by the announcers during any televised sporting event that basically said 'all this content is licensed by the league (and the network); any use of it without our permission (including selling tickets to a showing of it) is prohibited." This has been a thing for at least six decades. People shouldn't be surprised that a 4-billion-dollar company wants every single penny it can generate with its trademarked material.

It is this kind of stuff that makes me cringe with the NFL. I was watching new Heights today and they talked about how if he (Travis Kelce) points at a player that would be a penalty for taunting. But if he calls him every name in the book, no problem. If he pulls his hair, no problem clearly there is something wrong with the NFL.

You left out the rule that requires every team in the NFL(and soon enough, every team in all the major sports) to make sure any player they have who’s injured before gametime to be listed on the injury report, so Vegas can adjust their numbers accordingly
