I’ve got another one: the 2006 wildcard game of Cowboys and Seahawks Score is 21-20 with Seattle ahead. Cowboys have it 4th and 1 at the 2 yard line. Ball gets snapped to Romo and he fumbles the snap setting it up for a field goal. He picks it up, runs it, and gets tackled less than a yard from the endzone, fumbles it mid tackle, and Seattle recovers the fumble. You could see the pain in his face in the post-game over that one.

Honorable mention should be the Lions vs Falcons (from like 2017 I think). Lions threw a go ahead touchdown with like 8 seconds left. Officials reviewed the play and ruled the receiver was short of the goal line. Since the runner was tackled in bounds, they called for a 10 second run-off which ended the game since the Lions were out of timeouts. Even more brutal is the fact that the Lions finished the year 9-7, just missing out on the playoffs. So the lions literally missed the playoffs by mere inches that year
@thud97976 ай бұрын

Thank you so much for not putting “but they get increasingly crazy” or something in the title. That is so horribly annoying.

The worst way to lose a game is what Cleveland did against Kansas City in 2002.

2:43 Ever since that tipped Field Goal (later ruled as “Blocked”), or “Double Doink”, there have been many unfortunate exits for each team as they won, that season. Double Doink on the Bears, a missed catch on the Eagles (yep, Alshon), a no-penalty flag on the Saints, and a measly 3-pt score for the Rams, in one of the worst Super Bowls of all time.
