Amid answering your questions about the Simms QB draft rankings, Chris and Paul react live to the blockbuster Tyreek Hill trade. #NBCSports #NFL #ChrisSimms
(4:45) Tyreek Hill: Early in our pod, reports are that the Chiefs could trade their star WR. And Chris could see why.
(11:35) Matt Ryan: Chris thinks he's a perfect fit for the Colts, and a better addition than Philip Rivers was.
(20:20) #AskMeAnything: We kick off your questions about Simms' 2022 Draft QB rankings. Will we see over or under 3.5 QBs go in Round 1?
(24:40) 2021 QBs: Where would Matt Corral rank compared to Zach Wilson and Trevor Lawrence?
(31:40) Matt Corral: Does he have some Josh Rosen-esque red flags?
(37:20) Kenny Pickett: Could he ever be a Top 5 NFL QB?
(48:40) Malik Willis: "I trust his throwing more than Trey Lance or Justin Fields." Should the Steelers draft him?
(1:00:50) Pro Day Hype: Marlon Humphrey doesn't buy into it. Does Chris?
(1:03:00) Sam Howell: Is he Baker Mayfield 2.0?
(1:08:15) Desmond Ridder: Is he a 2nd round talent?
(1:13:00) BREAKING NEWS: Just as we're about to wrap up, Tyreek Hill to Dolphins is announced

@@treytintstipstricks1630 he wasn't a good qb. No doubt. However he has been around the nfl his entire life. He knows football. Most gms never played football. Most evaluators never touched a football. They all have the nerve to evaluate players with more talent than they have. As an evaluator he's pretty good. I never made it to the mlb but I'm a pretty damn good evaluator of baseball talent. No way to prove that in my case but I know. So I have to look at it and say he's been putting out these lists for years and all in all he's been a pretty damn accurate year in and year out. He's had way more hits than misses. More accurate evaluator than any other evaluator we have to listen to. Quite sure nate Kelly is not talking about chris' qb skills.

1. Minshew as a rookie in 2019 completed 61 percent of his passes with 21 touchdowns, six interceptions, a 91.2 passer rating and 233 yards per game. Among rookies who’ve thrown at least 400 passes, that passer rating is 4th-highest in NFL history, behind Dak Prescott [104.9], Justin Herbert [98.3] and Baker Mayfield [93.7]. His 233 yards per game are 9th-highest ever by a rookie, his touchdown ratio [one every 22 attempts] is 7th-best ever by a rookie and his INT ratio [one every 78 attempts] is 3rd-best ever. 2. Minshew’s career interception ratio of one every 72.5 attempts is 3rd-best in NFL history among quarterbacks who’ve thrown at least 500 passes. He trails Jacoby Brissett [one every 75.6 attempts] and Aaron Rodgers [one every 74.0]. 3. Minshew is one of only five quarterbacks in NFL history with a passer rating over 90 in each of his first two seasons (minimum 250 attempts each season). The others are Dan Marino, Marcus Mariota, Ben Roethlisberger and Russell Wilson. 4. Minshew’s 93.1 career passer rating is 2nd-highest in NFL history by a player drafted in the fifth round or later (minimum 500 attempts). He’s second only to another 6th-round pick, Tom Brady, who has a 97.3 career passer rating. 5. Minshew is one of five players in NFL history to average at least 240 yards per game and complete at least 62 percent of his passes in his first two seasons. The others are Pat Mahomes, Marino, Deshaun Watson and Kyler Murray. 6. Minshew is the only player in NFL history with 15 or more touchdown passes and six or fewer interceptions in each of his first two seasons. Only seven other players had one such season in their first two years, including Otto Graham in 1946, Marino in 1983 and Minshew’s former teammate, Nick Foles, in 2013. 7. He’s also one of only five players in NFL history with consecutive seasons at any point in his career with 15 or more TD passes and six or fewer interceptions. The others are Rodgers, who’s had four straight; Drew Brees, who finished his career with three straight; and Mahomes and Tyrod Taylor. 8. Minshew is also one of only three players in history to average one TD at least every 21 passes but throw fewer than one INT every 75 passes in his career. The others are Mahomes and Rodgers. 9. Minshew has had a passer rating of at least 90 in 13 of his first 20 career starts. Only seven players in NFL history had more games with a rating of at least 90 in their first 20 starts, including Mahomes, Marino and Kurt Warner. 10. As a rookie, Minshew recorded a passer rating of at least 100 in six of his 14 starts. Only five rookies have had more games with a triple-digit passer rating: Prescott [11], Wilson [9], RG3 [8], Roethlisberger [8] and Herbert [7].

On Pickett: A top 10-15 QB allows a team to have multiple top 5 playmakers on it. Some rosters want a QB who can "manage the game" and get elite athletes the ball. Maybe be quick enough to scramble for 1st downs. Idk if Pickett is that guy but it's a subtle positive experienced QBs with average arms have. I would rather have a Mac Jones type than Gardner Minshew type. (edit: I thought Gardner was faster than Mac. Mac is faster & ran the 40 around as fast as Kenny Pickett.. Man, Mac Jones looked elite when I watched him. Nothing about Kenny Pickett looks elite to me at all.)
@shahmir5782
@shahmir5782 2 жыл бұрын
The only thing I think about though is look at the supporting cast Mac had at Alabama. He's obviously very good, but his receivers and line made him look even better. I don't know how much of that benefit Pickett had at Pitt. I think Pickett will be a nice player.
@PickedaName_
@PickedaName_ 2 жыл бұрын
@@shahmir5782 Mac Jones looked elite due to how he dropped back from under center. His eyes were always on the defense, his footwork was light and live; his footwork "popped" off the screen to me, it looked different than NFL QBs. He always seemed prepared to throw the ball, when it left his hand it moved well and was either leading his receiver or placed where only they could catch it. I watched Dak the other day after rewatching Mac, and Dak always seemed prepared to throw in a similar way. Something about their body language. I don't see the same thing when I've watched Kenny. I'm trying to "check my bias" but something about how the ball looks when it leaves his hand looks weird; it's probably the gloves. He's aware in the pocket, has an explosive step to make a blitzer miss, he has solid ball placement.

It was money Hill and the Chiefs had a verbal agreement in place for the low 20's so I assume 21-23 mil a yr and then Adams got his crazy deal which is more of a 3 year 66 mil deal then it is a 5 yr 141mil deal but people don't look at the deal itself just the average. Hill wanted a lot more money he got it and a team dumb enough to throw them a ton of picks even though Tua can't throw more then 35 yards in ideal conditions. Smart for the Chiefs. Mia...... well not so smart.
@HarrisonHollers
@HarrisonHollers 2 жыл бұрын
Picks are just that…picks. As a Jets fan, I think the trade would have been more beneficial to them as they need that high level offensive playmaker to help Wilson, especially since he can hit the deep throws. For MIA, this is redundancy in some ways. Plus, with a rookie HC and Tua, can you see Tyreek flipping out when he’s not producing and attacking a coach like last season? Risky!

The talent is around tua level. But personally I think kenny picket is more ready to throw intermediate vert pocket passing. Playaction and slants in the middle of the field.
