This album tops kings disease 1 for sure! The production, his lyrics, the features. Stand out for sure was his performance he went off and had so much passion and conviction in his delivery. This album definitely caught me off guard. What a great album! His rhyme schemes though?!!! Man 🔥 he went off on this

Guys this is one of the best channels I've seen when reviewing the album. As near 50 gentleman I appreciate hearing young people appreciating Nas's work. The biggest complaint of Nas's music was his beats.... not anymore. Great analysis and convo and I agree with you on the Eminem track. It wasn't bad but it felt out of place in the beginning. Amazing work gentleman and I'm sharing your channel.

I definitely enjoyed KD2 a little bit more than the first. I had to re listen to the first one and be more open to it because around that time I got stuck on only for dolphins and Detroit 2. When I finally "listened" to KD1, I understood why it won over other albums last year. As a NAS fan I always expect to get a certain quality of his craft in all of his projects. It was definitely a perfect choice of having Hit Boy on the sequel project, and then to double down and have him feature on one of the tracks "composure" (my no.1 on track list) showing listeners that hit boy has way more to offer if you only know him for producing. I literally had that track on repeat for 2 hours straight. I definitely love this whole album, replay quality on this project is perfect. And I would love to hear you guys talk about discography rankings in the near future if you haven’t already. Did I mention that I love how you guys review music? If I was an music artist I would appreciate the deep dive and research that you do on every project wether good or bad. Y’all keep it solid.

This is a classic for for the Era of hip hop we are in today. It’s a shame that a lot of people might not see that possibly until 20 years later when people might review hip hop in this time line and say which rap album did you love. This album will definitely stand the test of time . Hit boy did an amazing job modernising some of the jazzy soulful beats to fit this era of hip , also giving him beats that Nas wouldn’t possibly rap over . Beats like 40side with that vibe of vibe but changing it up to fit Nas taste & YKTV with collaborations you wouldn’t thing Nas would like to collaborate with & and with a beat that would see playing in hip hop in terms of what we here today So overall to me apart from the EMPD track I wasn’t too much feeling the album it’s a classic & to here Nas say on Apple Music that the next project with Hit Boy might be magical because of there connection with one another makes me excited for there next project

Nas delivered one of his best works to date probably since life is good, the way the songs were crafted how Nas telling industry stories, being his own man financial success, flashback on moments made him onto the legendary emcee, love triangle. Definitely is better than the first KD1 because this has more staying power especially songs such as, rare, Death row East, moments, nobody, no phony love.

@@Mga-Czar same here man. The album’s marriage/divorce theme, the level of honesty, vulnerability, etc. and the No Id production just makes it more obvious. Both great albums, but as usual, Nas did it first. Big difference between my 2 favorite rappers: Nas never made the same album twice as far as the content goes. Closest you can argue is KD and KD 2, but even that was more of a continuation. Hov on the other hand had super similar formulas and themes for most of his albums, up until BP 2. And around Watch the Throne began his era of conscience, “tryna kick knowledge” rap. Better late than never.

In my opinion, this album is better then the first one… it’s hard to pick a favorite song… my top 5 1. EPMD 2 ft. EPMD & Eminem 2. Brunch On Sundays ft. Blxst 3. Death Row East 4. Rare 5. Nobody ft. Ms. Lauryn Hill This album is so far my favorite albums from 2021, alongside: The Off Season, Hall Of Fame, SoulFly, & Voice Of The Heros

Death row east is the best song on the album the beat with the story telling and obviously lyrics and flow is just to good for it not to be the best song on the album

Ahhh, Let my man have his opinion he was totally right !!!! That Em verse was underwhelming n over the top n really didn't fit .. until it got to the end. Besides that you guys did a great job!!! Everyone's eyes were on Kanye, if DONDA dropped on the same day with this album, this album would've been so much more underrated. KD1 was good but not as good as this, and I was just casually listening to this album as I waited for DONDA, and oh boy it really blew my mind. Usually part 2 of anything isn't so good but this one was literally so different, back to basics, more refined but flexing skills better than ever.

Did the same exact thing. Patiently waiting for Donda and then I thought to myself, “what other new music is out?” Saw KD2 was out and I’m not even a huge Nas fan but gave it a listen just to see what Nas was talking about especially since his verse on “Sorry Not Sorry” was so 🔥. Checked it out and all I can say is thank you Kanye for not dropping the same day because I may have not checked for it. This album is INCREDIBLE. Haven’t stopped listening. Wordplay, production, Nas’ subject matter-all on point. That “Store Run” was blessed truly by God. I was meditating listening to it and felt like I left my body and it felt as if I was levitating. Goosebumps foreal. This album definitely is up for AOTY. God Bless Nas

And to be honest I'm one of those people who are glad that Donda didn't drop today because this Nas album wouldn't have received the attention that it deserves

Nas is a legend no doubt but you cant deny the fact that he has a few dud albums under his belt. In 5-10 years i really believe we're gonna look back at his 2020-21 run and realize that Kings Disease 1 and 2 are gonna be a highlight in his career. Nas is proving to everyone that there isnt an age cap on this rap shit, as long as you stay in rare form, like he says. We see a lot of guys fall off or become less interesting as they grow a bit older, but then you have guys like Hov, Nas, Push, Royce, Jada etc. continue to get better and better as their careers go on. Super happy for Nas, he killed this album. and Shout out to Hit boy, dude is a beast.
