So to anyone that reads the description of these things, basically I'm going to explain what I did and what i plan to do in the future.
First off a lot of these text changes have been done by me, I wrote and detailed the car descriptions and researched what I could find for a suitable "quote" and info on the cars, then basically changed/edited a few things to make it seem more game original/vanilla like. (I even put a doc together to store this stuff lol)
This was done via use of a work in progress string editor by aechhh, not finished atm but it does what I need it to do, hats off to him for a amazing program, haven't ran into much issues using it. I'll be sure to post a link when he finishes the tool and is ready to release.
Secondly, I've replaced a lot of car select photos, may retake them with a better angle but for now it does the job for giving a idea of what the final UI will look like. This also adds a ton of extra data to the mod files (obviously because they're heavier manually taken photos compared to the photoshopped garbage quality original ones), but I'll be sure to figure something out.
And lastly, if anyone has noticed, I've changed quite a few event descriptions. Nothing game changing like adding new cutscenes or anything like that, although I will probably attempt something to that extent later, just more story lore. I plan to have Zephyr and the RCPD as factors in this new "story mode" I'm envisioning for this game, to at least make the events seem much more important and interesting than the boring ass "test drive this" events in the original game. Just let me cook trust me!
Few other things, might remove the garage speech files for cars/mute them, as attempting to recreate the narrators voice with ai and getting them to read the descriptions correctly has been nothing short of a complete pain in the ass and unless people don't mind if I use a generic ahhh ai voice, I think it would be far easier to cut them entirely (she interrupts the garage music anyways, I find that annoying too) I will however, keep and probably replace everything else over time (like for example I plan on stealing some copspeech files from mw12 for the Vipers and Hennessey)
Also plan on making a few events open car selection, especially for the cop side, since it makes NO sense why you can't pick any car you get access to from the scpd to drive on certain events. So I'm definitely going to change that, especially for the final events like Seacrest Tour, Hunted, End of the line, and so on.

You should add some damage to the cars al least crumple zones like dents or cracks.

i presume its only possible to overhaul existing sets but not possible to clone/add new car slots right? so hyper series still can only have 8 cars right?

@@unkindled6410 addons are possible but not public due to online mp abuse. We already have more than 8 cars in hyper due to me rearranging some stuff but addons are not implemented on this copy yet. If you want to see proof of addons working look at youtube.com/@xwylin channel

@@xpr3xa232 i see, thats interesting actually, when it comes to modding on this game that was one limitation it came to my mind but im glad to see there are possible workarounds. HP2010/remaster feels like it could be a great game for modding.

CSR2, I mainly prefer csr2 models due to their quality, ease of access to find, and support for stuff like interior and light emissives etc. Real racing 3 models tend to be simple and not as well detailed, and cars from rivals and ac and etc are pain in the asses to port to hpr because they require way more texture and shader work

@@xpr3xa232 CSR2's models from naturalmotion are really good and I play the game a long time ago it also has active aero. They have a buck load of cars.
