I think he was perfect in carbon. His story line fits perfectly. Fire from the cops for failing to bring in the most wanted street racers after all the attempts. I just wish he wasn’t abandoned there.

Cross also made an appearance in payback, but only in audio message where he was talking to a corrupt police officer, gladly Cross was a good cop, so he refused to work here and went back to Rockport

I love the fact they brought back a character from pervious games. Links the games together a lot more. Shame they don’t do it nowadays. All the games are stand alone and a bit full because of it

@Darien Rios cross was a powerful cop in most wanted. He may appear as dirty or corrupt, it's only cuz he doesn't like racers racing in his city. Therefore you gotta fight fire with fire. After losing the number 1 member on the blacklist (which is now you), we assume he lost his job from all the resources used to catch him. He then becomes a bounty hunter which gives Jim way more leighway to capture people at his own expense. So on your way around on a canyon, he finds you and carbons story takes place. Cross' character and story isn't really explored due to his role being the main antagonist changed. Hope this explains it :)

Tbh i liked cross as soon as he did that. I mean i hated him but i never felt so threatened yet so shocked in awe about how he dealt with street racers and tbh i personally think hes the coolest cop in nfs history.
