Hello guys,
At last, we've acquired the NFS Unbound Project Unite modpack. While they haven't made drastic changes in some areas, it remains impressive. I particularly appreciate the graphical enhancements they've implemented, adding custom parts for all cars is a nice touch. Though the sound alterations aren't extensive, the differences are noticeable. Here's hoping they'll persist in enhancing NFS Unbound in the future.

They did such a damn good job with world design and graphics in this game. Shame that this game got mob mentality from the fans cause it really wasn't that bad. Only thing bad were the cops and drip fed updates.

Was there a handling/physics update with this UNITE mod? The cars seem to behave a lot more predictable around corners and don't seem to be hooking unrealistically. Also the sense of speed seems to have been slowed down to more realistic levels.

And still NFS is having problems with the Murcielago/Aventador sounds lacking that v12 scream at high rpms. They sound more like a high tuned v6.

Please do a detailed tutorial on how to install the UNITE mod. I've tried several times installing UNITE for HEAT and it would work once and the next time I reboot my PC it won't work even if I re-did the whole process again.

The Intense difficulty timers got lowered to current values after feedback from testers. That's why the difficulty settings have a big impact on reinforcement timers and the auxiliary parts further tweak the timer. So there is something for everyone. You can easily turn that 30 seconds into say 60 or 90.

It looks nice and it unlocks some desired features overall, but I am not really impressed personally, to me it's Heat Unite with a slight touch up and added features. Unbound really did raise the bar/standard for how a game can look and feel unique, others will disagree and say they hate it or prefer a different style and that's fine, my opinion is different and that's just that. Unbound graffiti effects and stylized unique way to play made it stand out in todays modern racing game world, this just looks like every other racing game now, not saying it's bad, just not really impressed.

I completely get what you're saying. With Heat Unite it was easier for us to cater to a wide audience because there were general problems with the game we felt we could improve on. Like you mentioned Unbound is a more complete experience with a distinct style. So naturally a 'improved' version is harder to make and while we cater to a certain crowd that is not pleased or find the vanilla game lacking, it's easy to see why others might prefer sticking to the base game. At the end of the day, if we're all having fun playing Unbound in our own way, then I'm pleased.

@@Yorpie Agreed, I like the Unite Mod and don't ever wish for it to not be there at all, I simply expressed how the base game has made it hard to go back to a regular game experience. What I wish for is for this team to be able to work on the base game, as in being part of the actual official development team, making the base game like this and letting the effects get added in and shaped into it would be crazy, having the option to turn them on and off of course for those who do and don't want it. The game would be perfect from launch. Tho it's really hard to do all of that, licensing is a big part of why they can't do it and mods can.
