Wow that piece of otter (at least I think it's an otter) animation is truly unique, even thou I do 3D assets for a living I would never be able to make something like that. Mainly because I would vomit repeatedly while making it and my sense of pride/shame would keep slapping me until I would make something proper. I give it to the author, it takes some massive balls to ask for money for that, actually I think I need to be paid damages for having been exposed to it...

I think I want to create a system of NFTs except instead of digital art, the artists will paint real paint on canvas. And then instead of cryptocurrency, they will be sold with fiat currency. They could be displayed in buildings called galleries till they are sold. But here is the twist, we'll set some AIs set up with bank accounts and trick them into buying the artworks.

On the one hand, I kinda prefer this to other NFTs. It isn’t really new for artists to sell smaller works to raise money for a larger project. The problem is crypto bros are still talking about the “investment opportunities” and the “projected value” and that’s just taking the worst parts of the art gallery world and needlessly transplanting them into a website. If this catches on they can say goodbye to their art films about feminine gender performance and late-stage capitalism, because it’s going to fill up with Unity asset flips funded by selling hundreds of procedurally-generated “Artifacts.”

Most NFTs are glorified barbie dolls, exactly the same other than mint #, accessories, and pallet swaps. You have no idea when you mint what you will get, so it is the same as buying a lottery ticket. I like the idea of SFTs for tournament entries and what not, (If you buy into a tournament and can't play because something came up, you can sell your spot to someone else) but the only benefit or use case I see is in storing the users data, progress, purchases, and achievements so they can one day sell it when they are done playing. Happy Meal also sounds much better than Fast Food...Go figure...
