I'm very interested in these models! Sadly i'm on a budget, so these would surely come in handy. Antennas are a nice feature but I don't mind their absence. I'm used to buying older models (ex: DW and earlier GJ). I don't care about rolling gear either. I just hope to see decent printing and mould accuracy. I don't even mind Dragon's plastic wings, for example.

When it comes to lower end 1:400 scale price, i'm somewhat hoping similar to earlier Gemini Jets releases (pre-antenna and static landing gear). But hearing this news is more than welcoming. I'm somewhat look foward cheaper models without the antenna and rolling landing gear, yet still have decent body (especially nose fuselage area). Hearing the expected price, i was hoping it'll be at around the same range as YY Models' (which have since renamed) 747-8, which so far the cheapest new model i've bought while having decent price. With that being said, i am highly hoping that the cheaper NG Lite won't be having duplicate models with different registeration like the standard ones. NG Lite are also more ideal for certain niche models like blank white models and fantasy model. I'm still be buying standard model (hoping with soon Malaysia Airlines A330-900neo), but NG Lite will likely my top choice for (slight) lesser crucial models. A big plus if NG Lite still came with NG Exchange Points.

Hopefully it will help reduce the amount 2nd chance rereleases that NG is known for and put them on here. I suspect that we would see more liveries suited for mass fleet building over special liveries in the lite brand. Not saying we won’t see specials here.

Thanks for the info. Does not make much sense for me. But also goes to show, rather seems to suggest, that something as small as eliminating aerials installations brings prices by 30%. Even without aerials or rolling gear, the mold is much more competitive than anything Gemini can offer, and perhaps even Aeroclassics

I'd hoover them up even if a reduced in quality over my top end NG models, should they have different registrations for my fleet building.

If the same model has lite and standard version, I'd buy the standard version as I'm collecting 1/400 over a decade and the NG sets the standard too high and I can't go back especially the b747 is my favorite airframe. By looking the lite version of this b747, the printing is really good and the cockpit also spot on.

Rolling gear isn't even necessarily a positive point on many models. Half of my models have no antennae nor rolling gears (early GJs) and they look pretty nice regardless. The NG Lite subseries sounds like Aeroclassics but with better printing and quality control

Time for more affordable 1:400 models! I don’t care about all the fiddly details that can break - antennas, rolling gears, fanblades, etc. I just want something cheap and good looking. Like a Dragon Wings or old GeminiJets!

Okay, yeah the whole budget models makes a lot of sense, and it is a good initiative, but I think it is a poor choice for NG to do their 741 debut in this fashion.
