Dude... I finally know the feeling! Got a Friedman Relic used when I wasn't ever planning on getting a Friedman or a relic.. but been WANTING a guitar like this for... it seems like... EVER! Just plays and sounds... and looks AMAZING!

Robert likes maple necks, you went rosewood so kudos....that's the way to go on a Strat. Wish I could own a relic guitar but OCD says nope.

Great vid. Cant find anyone doing a review that shows tuning stability after aggressive tremolo use on these in a live setting. Would appreciate (for those who want to play Jazzy, to Gary Moore blues to VH ) without having to constantly tune. Already own plenty of Floyd Rose gtrs.

The friedman pups sound far better then the ones buddy had in it when it arrived . ..I also have never bonded with a strat and have had many . ..Keep playing my tele...maybe I should pull the trigger and try a friedman s type.

Robert Baker deserves everything he gets. There isn’t a moment that he isn’t playing a new guitar or waiting on a new guitar. I love his stuff, but if I got 1 new guitar for every 12 he gets, I’d at least be getting 1 a year 😛

I did this about 6 months ago, ordered an ernie ball keeper from willcutt but had to wait and I ended up grabbing a cheap!? brand new ibanez prestige from sweetwater... they can get them out quickly.

My fave channel on YT. Love the enthusiasm and have similar same tastes in tones and gear. I couldn't help notice the blemish/knot higher up on rear of the neck. Does that not bother you? It would me (and my OCD) on a boutique piece and is not what you'd get on the equivalent from the competition.

That's a nice sound.. What amp/pedals were you plugged in? Also what speakers the amp goes into?

I think it was Plexi mode on the Bogner Ecstasy. I think the pedal was the Duellist Overdrive and an EP Booster. Cab is Bogner 4x12 with v30

It shipped with from Fralins. The end of the video has the original Friedman's back in there. Right now, I have the Friedman humbucker, but I have 2 noiseless Dimarzio's in the neck and middle. I might put the Friedman's back in. They're great sounding. Very fat and full.

that's such a badass guitar. i can't justify spending that kind of money on a guitar though. lol. maybe if i get in a cover band and gigging regularly ill get some expensive guitars

Here's my thinking. I kept buying mostly less expensive S type guitars, but didn't like them, then I'd get another. I'd like to stop the madness. I think this almost did it. But now I'd like another Friedman S one day hahaha. I need a doctor.

Michael Nielsen well you also make money with it. Which is awesome! My brain just makes me feel guilty if I spend more than a thousand for an instrument without making money from it. Trust me though, I have a list of guitars I’ll start buying if I do end up in a cover band. Lol

@@BigHairyGuitars I've been curious about a metro d..... Have u played one? Want to play one through my dirty shirley but Right I'm content with my beat up les paul ( no lacquer on the neck, .... Anymore) buckle rash gallore there a huge spot where the pick gaurd would be that is worn through too..... Love that guitar lol
