The video shows the training of door gunners with the M3M 12.7 x 99 mm, 50 caliber heavy machine gun on NH-90. It starts with the preparation of the ammunition, explains how to put on the vest and shows the preparation of the weapons in the NH-90 transport helicopter. Then it goes to a shooting range in Putlos that is suitable for the range of the M3M, where the sharp shot is trained during the day and at night. Four gunners / door gunners take turns. The live shot from hovering at different heights and the live shot while moving are practiced. When shooting at night, the same exercises are performed using night vision devices. The "small battle talk" can only be followed via the helmet communication and cannot be heard in this video. This video provides the usual original sound during the flight, i.e. the noise of the helicopter and the M3M. For further explanations, please turn on the subtitles.
In the Bundeswehr, the M3M is used on vehicles and as an onboard weapon of the NH-90 and CH-53 transport helicopters, the Sea Lynx and Sea King helicopters and the Tiger combat helicopter.
It makes sense to turn on the subtitles for this video.
This video is part of a series on the M3M 12.7x99mm heavy machine gun:

2) Installation of the M3M in the NH-90 • Schweres Maschinengewe...

Danke nochmals (wg.

And heavier, further distance Vehicles should be engaged with weapons designed for same, and rockets. Before engaging with a gun. Some say "Spray an Pray". I say,.. "If You Can't Hit EM, Keep EM DUCKING" ! ! ! I'M And that's a rotor crafts job 🤗 ... and who needs another .50 😂 Just Wondering. It seems just another unneeded weapon to learn. And obviously. The video shows it needs Learning. PLUS, THE AMMO BOX LOADING OPPOSITE OF EVERYTHING ELSE ??? ... yeah, you'll never have a problem there. Or with other weapons after loading something else Backwards 😳 Battle Needs Consistency. It's not a time to read a manual. Oh. And worse case scenario. A magazine holds 300 rounds. Because this was an exercise - first live shot in flight conditions - the belts only had 75 or 150 rounds. It depended on the exercise. Changing the magazines should also be practiced. A lot of ammunition was prepared, but only part of it was fired by the evening.

Tolles hochqualitatives Video Danke!

@BTBconcept
@BTBconcept Жыл бұрын

@@BTBconcept ---> Yes, Ma Duce had a very big reputation and very bad of a temper I have seen. I was never in military, I just turned to 15 three weeks ago. But I have watched my fosters father shoot one when the army guys brought one at his sheriff armory for keeping on a week ending. They brought it out to the huge NRA range way out in the forest and shot it at a big target at 600 yards away. They are VERY loud and that bullet went straight right to the target almost! They only fired 1 shot at a time when the sheriffs shot it, but the army guys shot it about 3 or 5 bullets at a time. The one army dude told me they called it “ Ma Duce “ and he said the bullets could go up to 5 miles if they aimed it at 45 degrees! FIVE MILES!! - But I saw a new one they made : General Dynamics GAU-19/B Gatling Gun and it shoots 1300 rounds per minute!! How is THAT for some fire power! And they have it mounted on top of a big armored up HUMMWV and also on to helicopters too. - If you would wish to see it firing and stuff here is a KZfaq video of it shooting and about it. VERY COOL fire power for sure! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nNl2ZcWQxLnFlZs.html

The machine gun you see here is not made for single fire. It needs permanent fire to work well. It's more for holding the enemy down than to hit a target. Have you see our video about the MG3: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ld5khqWmuaqmdIE.html

@@BTBconcept Duhhh…it is a heavy machine gun. So was the one which I saw them shooting. They had a big, heavy tri-pod whiched they pounded spiked through holes in the legs, then they put the gun on top of it and they sat behind it to shoot it. It took 2 guys for carrying that big thing around and one for carrying the tripod thing. They told the sheriffs just to shoot one or two of bullets and not to keept holding the button thingys at the back. Mostly the sheriffs shot it and only one bang at a time, the army dudes pushed the buttons until 3 or 5 bullets banged away. I looked uped a video with the machine gun had, it is the samed one only the tripod base of it no longer does weighed at 50 pounds. While changing the boxes the helicopter turns and the second gunner is working. So there is no delay. You see this later in the video. By the way: The change of magazines was an importent part of this training. It was the first training with the heavy machine gun under flight conditions.

I spent a total of 6 years living in Germany (Aschaffenburg and Baumholder) and would move back there in a heartbeat given the chance. I’m so proud of my Nordic/Celtic DNA! The Germans are NOT to be underestimated in battle. Even today the German Military is someone not to mess with, if they were pushed into total war, it would take quite a bit more to take them out. I wish they were allowed to wipe out communism but at least Spain and Finland fought them off. The criminal thing is that their own governments are flooding “immigrants/refugees” into their countries so they’re slowly outbred since the native people don’t have sustainable birth rates (thanks to socialist/communist social indoctrination over the decades since WWII). God be with my kin.

@@jophussaurus2450 thank you for your response sir. I’m a retired US Army Infantry NCO and often when a country is facing a conflict they prefer to propagate that their military is weaker than it appears to make any belligerents think that they lack the ability to attack. I hope that’s the case but I know what Merkel has done to Germany since I left in 2007, my German friends who work with the Bundeswher tell me things are on a shoestring also but I recall that that’s how the German military has been treated for decades, even in the 80’s when I first met them. Russian soldiers and equipment has no equivalent to a German Soldier so whatever they’re eventually armed with, it won’t end well with the poor quality Russian army leadership and crappy tanks they build. I was a Tank Destroyer (MOS 11H) and killing Russian tanks is very easy despite what they try to do with countermeasures. Our TOW missile system has a few different types of missiles we can choose from to best deal with a target. Personally, I would be very nervous if I had to fight the Germans, especially their front line elements! As the winter sets in, this is the time when major campaigns are started because the ground will support tanks and trucks as well as preserve raw food and collection of dead soldiers on the battlefield. I went to Iraq in 2003 and we used our noses to find the dead Iraqi soldiers we missed in the initial cleanup so you get the idea why colder temperatures are better.

So does Germany have regular army and a national guard like we do here in the US? I'd be chewing that young recruits ass for pointing the muzzle at me like that. One of my friends was in boot camp, and a guy on his firing line at the range accidentally shot a guy next to him with an M16 in the head- pierced his kevlar helmet and killed him- freak accident. The weapon was supposed to be unloaded, and apparently the guy was trying to clear the rifle when it happened.
