There’s actually kind of a secret deke that most people don’t know how to do, at least I don’t think so. All ya gotta do is: While Skating, Hold LB. You can let go, then hold it again constantly and if you do it right, you should be able to protect the puck sometimes better than when holding A.

Hey. Can you do a tutorial on best ways to use the deke’s? Like some sort of situational deke, what works best, what doesn’t work?

For the kucherov; do the stick the other way around, left stick (stride deke) to the right, and the right stick to the left

Always felt deking is not necessary to an extent. As soon as you see the player enter animation you know where they player is going and can hit a check.

Always felt the same honestly. There is a very limited amount of dekes that I'd consider effective against good players!

Can anyone tell me if the Advanced Deking in Training Camp, with the Michigan move are actually playable? I click on any of those in that section and I get just a video explaining the deke but no ability to play those modes.

The Michigan is not playable in training but the video helps and it’s a lot easier than it looks, but it’s hard to hit the shot

It’s all down to timing the right stick so it’s in sync with the move. I’ve pulled it off once in eashl and I’ve done it multiple times in be a pro. It’s not like other ones where you just move it around as say the toe drag, you have to time it along with your player.

Hey am I crazy or all the rookies not in the game yet? Spent a good 30 minutes of my 10 hour trial looking if its a day 1 patch ill wait to start my career

Rookies that played in leagues prior to the nhl that are leagues not in the game will not be in the game until they play in the nhl/ahl due to licensing. Are players like Laf in the game? I haven't looked. He should be on rimouski or nyr? Jake Sanderson on the other hand should not be in the game because he's on a US team not in the game.

@@RevivedLegacy Yeah he is, Not sure where I go from here. New to hockey and nhl, in madden the rookies are on the proper teams or you can just download a roster from online I don't seem to have any of those options here. What do if you want to play be a pro just play without the rookies or wait till the actual nhl season starts 🥴 when ever that is???

@@RellshouldBsleep Yea, roster sharing has been a really big complaint from community in recent years. Ea continues to ignore it though so it's tough for everyone wanting to get the rookie class in. Or players that ea doesn't have listening to etc... Pretty much have to create them yourself and put them on the proper teams or wait until January when the season starts. (if that's when it starts)

Make sure you are curling the stick from left to right (rotating it). If you push it directly up or right without rotating it, you'll do the between the legs

That's the wrong way to do the kucherov. You need to hit L1 then both sticks inward on lefties and outward on righties

I just found out there is 2 new toe drag animations in the game, been trying to figure out how they trigger but so far it's just random for me, would be awesome if you could look into this and do a tutorial for it

Do the toe drag from a stand still or while coasting and you will trigger these new animations.
