I wish we could choose when we get to retire and actually have a cut-scene on the ice and see the retired number, but EA is too trash to add it.

I would always play every game of the season and get bored, usually not making it past the rookie season. Started playing one game and simming two and it moved along much faster. It’s really cool once your players career starts to take shape and you think more about your players legacy and where they rank all time.

I remember spending some time trying to get the greatness achievement on this game and let me tell you that I think I almost died of boredom, thanks for reminding me of that 😂

Because he always had at least two goal scorers on his line for his entire career. In Edmonton, it was Kurri, Messier, Anderson, Coffey. In LA, it was Robitaille, Tonelli, Nicholls, and Kurri again. In St Louis, it was Hull and Hawerchuk. And in New York, it was Messier again, Robitaille again, Graves, and LaFontaine. That, and scoring was just a lot higher in the 1980's due to poor defensive strategy, poor goaltending equipment, and way more penalties being called.

@@cody8385 They gave up a lot fewer five-hole goals, and a lot less under the crossbar. Goalies today have much better equipment, but they're all interchangeable with their style. We were much more individualistic, and shutouts meant something.

yeah i got injured my 2nd or 3rd season and only played like 53 games one of those. but after that didn't miss many games. maybe 2-3 a yr at most

yeah pretty much, you can still login and view the main character screen but you can't advance any days or anything. i was hoping there would be a hall of fame thing because it has that "legacy" bar but it really means nothing
