You should try ur next series with morale on. Personally I like it better as you get to see a lot more growth of young players and a higher chance of their potential increasing. The only setback is the old guys regress faster (and a 86+ needs top 6 ice time)

I like it when you trade players back to the team you took them from because it feels like the Vegas draft where teams were giving up picks and prospects to protect players.

just a scouting tip, good scouts adapt fairly quickly (1-2 seasons) and in my experience, in nhl 19-22, the second year of free agency always provides a lot of good scouts, move them wherever you want, they'll adapt and you'll have the best chances of finding gems

I always love how different simulations can be every time. The sim makes no sense sometimes but I honestly enjoy that volatility 😂 In one of my recent sims, the Oilers didn't win a Cup until the year McDavid retired so he squeezed one in at the very last, last second haha.

To fix the issue with the redraft you can go through and revert all the players drafted back to their junior teams and they will show up in the draft. It’s a little time consuming but makes expansion drafts way more fun.

Just wanted to give a heads up here. I had an issue sighting one of my RFA’s. I qualified Savoie and waited until august when his price dropped a lot and for whatever reason when I offered him a contract he never accepts or declined just sits there. Lost a rly good prospect due to that ended up having to trade him away. Not sure if it’s an issue on my part or a glitch but just to be aware in ur franchise mode. Love the videos tho btw keep up the great work!!

@TacTixHD, you may be able to acquire the 1st ovr pick from SJ if you bundle up a package like the 14th, 17th ovr pick along with that defensemen you drafted in the draft prior. You’ll most likely have to add Vlasic on their end and take on his cap but it’s not the end of the world cause you’re an expansion team, no superstars or anything of the sort on the team so you can afford taking it on, especially if it’s for Connor fkn Bedard!!

I think you should end the episode after you have signed all the free agents, otherwise the results kinda get spoiled by the length of the video. Idk just like that pacing better I guess!

There is a way to put the real players in the draft in expansion mode. All you have to do is remove their NHL rights and move them either to free agency, Europe or CHL. It's time consuming though.

When I saw VASY's custom roster I don't think I saw Jayden Perron included he's a 2023 draft prospect currently top 3 in USHL scoring with the Chicago Steel and he's already committed to North Dakota. His projection is between late 1st and mid 2nd. I'd give him low elite or med top 6.

Just an idea for a video, but I’ve always wondered if chemistries actually matter. You could take the same team, sim once with the best possible line combinations, then sim again with the worst combinations and see if it makes much of a difference.

hire a couch that fits your core. which is usually three players. hire a couch for sex hears(longer if possible but in my experience they dont sign for any longer). couches grow, you need an a- to make the playoffs. b+ will get you a 15th round pick. chemistry is only a side effect. +5 wont get you into the playoffs. with a d+ coach you will get 15th pick with an AHL team. to tank fire your couch. ea algorithms, play high or low. or both. you seem to play in the middle.

Did you set your minimum salary at the lowest? You had 24M in cap so normally you sign a guy at 15M to make sure computer doesn't mess with your contracts

in franchise the cap isn't flat. Later in the series this will be the case but first season the floor is lower
