I want authentic intros. The Oilers have a pretty unique opening song and would love to hear that at the start of every game.

I agree. I want authentic intros for every team. If I’m the Sharks, I want to see my players skate out of the sharks head (first or third person view) I also want this in chel. If I unlock the Horse head into prop, I want to see my players skate through it.

Nailed it on the head, I'd much prefer the closest to life representation of going to a real game. There are almost 0 glow sticks crowds in real life I don't know why that was added. Doesn't make me feel like it's a hockey crowd when the game starts and when the puck drops all of a sudden every glow stick in the arena disappears?? What??

You are spot on! I think we need to see the shark,predator,oilers,stars and knights intros where they skate out of their thing for pre game! NHL 14 did it right and if you tie that it in with like something an nbc package that would be the most realistic thing ever! Hopefully nhl 25 does something like that with both like tnt or espn! For nhl 24 I hope they at least do something like nhl 22 for full presentation if it is in the game 🙏🏻

I hope we're able to use some gear from EASHL in Franchise Mode. A lot of the goalie gear looks awesome and I wish I could use it for my franchise team. It would sick to have a Pirate themed team vs the Kraken.

I gave up on the EA sports NHL franchise when they dropped the NBC presentation. That was special, and I wish EA would go back to using real television network presentation packages and graphics. The best game EA ever did this with was NCAA Basketball 10 - their ESPN & CBS Sports broadcast packages were the BEST GAME FEATURE in my opinion Ever! For EA to drop that just blows away their attention to details that fans like.

Totally agree as a coyotes fan we used to get howling for you by black keys after you scored and the 3 howls they took that out and it was pretty lame.

I might be old school on flex/celbrations, too. It could be too much celebrating. At least it seems limited to goals in NHL. I’ve been playing madden for a few weeks (I’m already bored) and my youngest daughter was watching. When the celebration menu kept popping up she asked: “Why do get to celebrate everything?” My response was: “Exactly. Why?”

I would love to see the pregame intro where we see fans outside watching their team during the playoffs including reactions to the goals, win, loss or eliminations in Playoff Mode. It would be awesome!

I am sure I am going to love the new pressure system but the visual meter on the ice take me away from the realism they have been trying to achieve for years. The pressure system can be in effect without the meter being visually seen on the ice. It could be added to the boards. Or in my opinion... not at all. You will know you have filled the meterto the max meter once you see the defense struggling. That would feel pretty realistic in my opinion.

I live in the UK as a hockey fan since the early 90s mainly thanks to NHL94, I’m a sucker for realism now and 100% agree on the need for less fluff and more focus on authenticity. Have to say I’m not into the celebration individual focus though. Mid range team celebration, pan out to arena light show etc like a TV broadcast is what’s needed. Nobody is sat on the ice looking up at the scorer, just an odd decision for me.

Love the music additions (tsunami!!), nice & authentic but not sold on flex; that camera/angle/lighting is NOT like "what you see on TV"... 😔 why can't we just get better broadcast-like presentation? 😢

I really hope they start using the actual city name in some of the color commentary or PBP instead of the “NHL rink” name. It pulled me out so many times when I’m playing with my hometown Kamloops Blazers, and the play by play talks about Vancouver.

How about letting people have their own option to play their own music instead of a bunch of unknown Artists with songs nobody knows or cares about. Have teams who have their own intro music able to be used & have teams who have their own goal songs like The Leafs goal song "You Make my dreams come true" by Hall & Oates a reality. It's simply unacceptable with today's technology & is unacceptable to not have these options!🤦‍♂

Hopefully in the near future we can have A.I commentary personnalized to each arena's example a good old Rick Jeanneret if I play in KeyBank Center. Ken Daniels & Mickey Redmond if I'm in Little Caesars Arena etc even a FR/ENG option for Bell Center games

I haven't played an NHL game since the PS 2. Hockey is about movement, it's about feel, and the games in the last decade-plus seem to have been focusing more on gimmicks rather than actual gameplay. However, the trailers for this season's installment look much more fluid to me. So I am hopeful. It looks pretty good.

I miss the basic shooting practice net with the targets in the corners. Helped to warm up the thumbs, makes sure your controller isn't screwed up, and it opens your mind to aiming different spots instead just top corner. I'd like simple fun mini games like zamboni racing. In the intro b4 the game starts I wanna see the player walking up in a suit and hear commentary about that player. Also if they don't put Will Ferrell and his painted face in the game somehow I'm boycotting!! Lol that would be great. Hell he should be on the cover! I will say this as respectfully as I possibly can. The main reason I bought a PS4 back in 2015 was the NBC life like presentation...we never had that in an nhl game before...now we are back to generic but worse...because these post goal celebration are just not good. This is a totally make or break for many of us. Until you go back to the way it was that we all loved, I'll have to bow out until things go back to a life like presentation.

I think we are getting focuses on things that don’t need highlighted, I agree for more realism but I also want to see games touched that haven’t been looked at, This game series is not New User welcoming and the reason why is the modes you can play outside of Eashl and HUT are so boring, EASHL and HUT are to competitive to invite new people to its platform you have to play hours and hours to get a feel for what to do to be genuinely good at it, it’s what I have hated about NHL for longest time. I won’t be investing until they start making changes that make it worth the price and for 8 years I have and will not spend more than $20 when it’s on sale to purchase a new one. I love and grew up with this game series and it is so painful to see that improvements for the things that many people have been talking about for years have been an after thought. I know I am not alone and I will be this passionate until they fix this once amazing series. Used to be such a welcoming and amazing community.

One thing for certain with EA every game they release is either a HIT OR MISS. I do think and like the new improvement's but the game is a miss because even though they have attempted to make improvement's the game is clearly very glitchy especially with the new goal celebration's. The claim to give the scoring player emotion but it's like if you took all that time into making one player smile for a goal why wouldn't you fix the team celebration's so that they don't look like zombie's. And also why would you do these special animations for 1 goal why not make that for special event goal's or game's . Like this player has played 1000 game's or this player has scored his first NHL goal like thing's like that would make sense not just you having one person react and the rest of his team mate's look uninterested. like you can't even see him getting fist bumps from his team mates anymore like idk as i said i see the the change's but i don't think im going to buy this game like EA always seem's to miss the mark. you gave new faceoff's what you guy's consider is a upgrade but you didn't bother to add new faceoff style's ? you didn't bother to add the crowd actually reacting to play's on the ice or pucks going into the crowd? you didn't bother to fix the ref's and actually making them go to center ice and give call's or update coach or bench reaction's ? like i don't know maybe im expecting to much

I'm one of those where I make teams and rosters too much. Lately anyway. I've made a lot of fucking teams. I look up custom jerseys to get ideas for dif or new color schemes. Play by play names for teams is sad. They put that many names for players, but only that many actual team play by play names. And if they won't say my teams name in game than why name your team it? Plus how hard would it have been to have more icons or even custom symbols for teams. Or download able ones.

Biggest annoyance for me in jersey creation was the number of things you had to do from scratch each time. You couldn't make a home jersey and then just make a copy and change some colors to get the road jersey, you have to start from scratch every single time. I hope the improvement isn't JUST more teams and players, I want to have a more streamlined way to create teams. As for the commentary, yeah it's been stale for a long time. I was not a fan of Ray Ferarro but it was more the lines than Ray himself. Having a woman commentator is going to be a bit to get used to and I wonder if there was just pressure to bring a female in. Finally for the music, I remember when you could import your own music, they had this on PS3. When is THAT coming back?

Everyone there needs to be completely fired and replaced they are utterly terrible at their jobs. We beg for them to fix things and instead the invest hundreds of hours into cartoon arcade celebrations. We ask them for smooth stick play and they spend hundreds of hours on new celebrations instead. It's a clown car company and while it might be kinda cool that they send a small group to ea to play the game what they need to do is ask them before they start making it not after they already fuck it up. They won't get the until we stop buying it.
