The passer could have given the puck to a player that was on the move...Ovechkin was standing still with a opposing player on the move anticipating that pass. I don't think that was Ovechkins fault ..

У Вашиков был бы не плохой шанс с молодым Ови, который с каждым его шифтом создавал немерено ситуаций... Но реальность такова, что Ови (к сожалению) уже совсем не тот. Мало того, что он не создаёт голевые моменты, но ещё и так косячит, как в 4ом голе рэйнджерс гол 💯% на его совести, а с ним и переломный момент в матче и возможно во всей серии

Ovi and Capitals spent a lot of effort to get into the playoffs. They didn't have enough time to gain strength and prepare for the playoffs. The Rangers are playing better and going to win series

I liked the way Caps played last night, they showed some grit and discipline and played playoff hockey for much of the game. For as much as they are missing a few stars, and Ovi's office locked down, they scored twice on the PP vs the 3rd best kill unit in the NHL, and they weren't too shabby keeping pace with NYs star players. Keep playing like that, finish checks, play the man not the puck, get the puck to the net. Good things will happen.

Господи! Вашингтону надо расслабиться и получать удовольствие. Поблагодарить за то, что они вообще попали в плей - офф. Вашингтон мог бы вообще не попасть. Да тем более Вашингтон попал на Нью Йорк Рейнджерс. Успокойтесь. Поблагодарите Вашингтон за то, что они попали в плей офф, многие не попали. Вашингтон молодцы. I want that too...Ovechkin has a more well rounded game all n all. Gretzky well, scoring and passing is also requires great skill, but, as I said...Ovechkin is better in many areas of play.

Rangers defenseman Miller scored shorthanded to give New York a two goal lead towards the end of the second period contributing to the offense for the victory. Washington played well in the beginning of the first two periods with Mr. Ovechkin registering his only shot, unfortunately along with porous goaltending implying disaster looms for Capitals fans this series if things do not change quickly.

I was picking Rangers to win the East seeing them struggle to a home win over a very poor Capitals team I’m changing my mind to Canes or Panthers 🤔😏

Canes just lost Pesce for who knows how long. We'll see if Carolina can play road games yet, and the caps always play the rangers tough, no matter the talent disparity. Wouldn't read much into it.

Canes suck on the road panthers yes but this was a bad game, u still think the avs are crazy bad after game 1? No they bounced back and played great same w the rangers

@@Syrtnx_onwarzone Avs got the split but if I putting money on who wins that series I say Jets in 7, I have more faith in the bigger Vezina winner netminder Hellerbuyck than the ex Ranger netminder, Georgiev stats are terrible apart from wins, GAA over 3 save percentage under 900, Hellerbuyck has played nowhere near his best if he gets back to be his best and Georgiev gets to his best Jets win imho their d, depth and goaltending has me tipping them to face Oilers /VGK in the western conference final and as a Leafs fan that hurts me to say bcoz the Jets are my 4th most hated team behind Islanders, Bruins, and Senators 😏 🤣 Pesce is a big blow for Canes but they got so many good Dmen so they can cover that loss, unlike the Nucks, I so want the Leafs to push for him when he’s a FA next season! Ps Vancouver just have no luck in playoffs losing Demko has to be the worse player they can afford to lose!

Watch Laviolette at his press conference after this game. He does not seem present and “off”. My guess is he is not happy with the way the Rangers played even though they got the win. Anyone else see this or am I off the mark?

Ovi should just retire. There's no breaking Wayne's record. He has no passion anymore. His 2 teammates on the offence are doing all the work to get Ovi the puck but he's too slow and old.

Agree. They call the weak penalties that they could let go but not the egregious stuff. NHL officiating is really terrible. The trip on Zibanejad was so blatant and right in front of the ref. How do they miss that?!

He looked awful. Have not been a fan of his style of play over the last few years but playoff hockey has really highlighted his lack of speed and defensive effort.

Вашингтон во второй игре с Рейнджерс играл лучше, но ошибка Овечкина перечеркнула старания игроков его команды, которые забили шайбы....что это, невезение или не умение играть или каждый раз будут виноваты судьи.....Вашингтон умрите, но выиграйте эту серию с Рейнджерс.....ведь Панарин может и травму получить, а может и не получить.....один в поле не воин!!! The story of this series has unfortunately been the officiating, dicey soft hooks and cross checks getting called but they miss the obvious Oshie high stick and reverse the clear headshot by Panarin. The Caps came out flying and put on the pressure late when it seemed with a two goal deficit they might just goon it up. Great snipes from the Rangers but they put a lot less on Lindgren tonight. For me this series is far from over.
