Joe Sakic knew how valuable Pavel Francouz was to the organization. He wasted no time signing him to a contract extension. Frankie has always stepped up when his number is called. He has been absolute clutch this season and continues to prove doubters wrong. After tonight’s game, I am starting to believe that I was being nice when I said Avs in 5. Josh Manson came back with an excellent performance on both ends of the ice. He was very aggressive offensively as he led the Avs D-corps in shots with 4. I am sure he will humble brag to his dad in their next family meeting. It was pretty funny to see the camera pointing at Dave Manson when he scored. Kadri continues to keep rolling as he registered 3 assists. Mackiinnon put the nail in the coffin with his patented one timer PP shot. Bednar knew exactly what he had to do to neutralize Oilers’ offense. He forced his team to push the Oilers away to the side when they entered the offensive zone. The puck never reached the open center of the ice. All opportunities from the Oilers were from the side. In game 1, 5 out of their 6 goals were from the center of the offensive zone. Oilers were really dirty tonight. Yamamoto, Kane, Keith, Kulak and Draisaitl were all trying to injure Mackinnon, Toews, Makar and Kadri. It was truly disgusting. Keith is such a coward to trip Mackinnon after the whistle. Draisaitl is a closet dirty player who loves to high stick. Intimidation doesn’t work on the Avs anymore. It worked last year in the playoffs, but they came back stronger and tougher this year. Unlike the last game, it blows my mind that more penalties were not called against the Oilers. That penalty against Byram was BS. Intentionally ripping off his helmet to get him out of the play is so bush league. I guess Oilers have to cheat in order to win since they lack the skill and will. The Avs fanbase may have gripes over Sam Girard for his inconsistent play (myself included). I’ll say this though. I will take him 10 out of 10 times if I had to choose between him and Darnell Nurse. Nurse is an overpaid sorry excuse of a defenseman who lacks discipline. He singlehandedly gift wrap the Avs the victory with 3 awful plays. I can see why people like to rip him after watching tonight’s game. He is a selfish punk. Same goes with Kane, but we already knew that. The amount of bias from the media is astounding. During the whole night, the TNT crew were talking more about the Oilers than the Avalanche. Throughout the game, they kept talking on what the Oilers should do to win. With the exception of pre-game and post-game interviews of the legendary Adam Foote and Frankie, they barely said a word about the Avs during the intermissions. Last time I checked, TNT was an American station. If I wanted to see a media that is homering for the Oilers, I would have turned on Sportsnet. It is baffling how the media from both countries are cheering for the Oilers. Yes, Gretzky is a former Oiler but he needs to be professional. He barely complemented the Avs tonight. I don’t appreciate how the media is portraying the Avs as public enemy #1 when they didn’t do anything wrong. They are not the ones who is playing the game dirty because they have their eyes on the prize at all times. I’ll close with this little statistic. Nathan Mackinnon shot more than McDavid, Draisaitl and Kane combined. Let that sink in, Oilers fans.

@nalgene2472 жыл бұрын
I agree with a lot of that, but I disagree that they were headhunting. Sure the Oil played chippy and dirty, but it was a far cry from trying to injure anyone. A late trip on MacKinnon? Penalty yes, attempt to injure, nah. Those high sticks by Drai were stupid but relatively weak. The only really egregious hit was when Kane rode Manson into the boards, and obviously when whoever it was grabbed Byram by the helmet. Even the announcers were like "What else is Byram supposed to do?". And yes, Darnell Nurse is an overpaid goon. Cross-checking ChooChoo with 1 minute left in a 0-4 game is exactly what I expect from that loser. Too bad for him the Avs had too much composure to stoop to his level.
