Draisaitl is destroying Vegas. This was an all out humiliation. The Edmonton power play is simply terrifying. I've never seen anything like it.

taking a penalty against edmonton basically means you give them a goal.... Just save the effort and time and pull the goalie.

It’s exactly why cry baby mc David wants the shootout taken out. they excel when they have the room or our up a man on a penalty, so he’d of course love for them to take away the shootout, and with how much the league rides his balls i wouldn’t doubt it if they did😂

Draisatl may break the 19 goal record for a Stanley cup playoff if he keeps this up and Edmonton make it to next round. If they make the finals I can almost guarantee he breaks it. This dude is unreal in the playoffs.

I love the Oilers (born and raised Edmontonian) and am so stoked on Skinner this year but to say he’s “definitely a hot goaltender” after one solid game (after letting in 5 goals the previous game) is kinda a dumb statement to make. If he can shut the door in game 3 then let’s talk.

Stars have a huge advantage going into the western final. because of the Kraken. Should be an interesting final. Eastern one should prove interesting as well. the smart move is pick Carolina. But... the smart move was to bet against the cats all along so. hard work and Bob. Cats will be in the final. and probably win the whole damn thing.

They are a much more complete team than last year especially with the addition if Ekholm. This is not the same Oiler’s team as last year or even before the all stars break this year

@yegman the NHL record for most goals in a playoff year is 19 by Reggie Leach on the Flyers during the 1975/76 season. He bagged 19 in 16 games. That record has stood for almost half a century, and short of a sudden exit by the Oilers in round 2, he'll probably break it. Dude is on FIRE!

I love this Oilers team right now. Vegas wants to scrum, Edmonton be like, bring it! Oilers aren't a team that can be pushed around like previous seasons. They're skilled and fast, but can also play the physical. Hope they keep this up, i dont expect Vegas will go easily.

The worst part about that, was losing when he scored four goals in game one. This game was much better, but they need to get consistent production from someone other that Draisaitl and McDavid to get to the final and win it all.

Kostin is turning out to be a huge steal for Edmonton. Scores big goals, can defend himself, good at turning the momentum. Good guy to have when the main arsenal is having a quiet night. Not that they were quiet in this one, Drai has no chill in this goal streak

Nothing but respect for the teams of the 80’s, but if this team takes the cup, it might be the most incredibly dominant oilers seasons of all time. For this team to accomplish what they have in the modern era, is simply ridiculous. An astonishing regular season by McDavid, a dominant playoff performance by Drai, a record setting power play, a rookie goaltender… what a year, now go win the cup.

for me, draisaitl is to ice hockey what zinedine zidane or toni kroos are to football. a score machine. his game looks so easy. a lot of calm even in difficult situations and an enormous overview. a very fine technician and excellent tactician. the oilers will still have a lot of fun with him. greetings from Germany.

this game was both the oilers dominating the first period and the knights just dropping the ball for the first period. first period especially was particularly bad for the knights, poor Brossoit was not only basically alone but there were a few goals that were actually his own team working against him, that 4th goal was particularly bad, he probably would have saved it if not for his own teammate shoving someone into him, knocking him over.
