The only thing that would have made it better is if it went to overtime, and/or if was also during the Stanley cup final. The icing on the cake would be the panthers win in OT in game 7, making it the greatest hockey game of all time.

it's the teams who've never done anything that have the most exciting fans. Florida, Minnesota, Columbus, Nashville... They haven't had near as many years of losing yet

What a game! This series is gonna be awesome! Also just in case people forgot, because he didn't play in the regular season, Nikita Kucherov is still a Top 5 player in the NHL.

He was invisible 5 on 5. So was 91. Fla just learned stay out the box and they'll win the series. If they don't Tampa sees Car in round 2.

You realize this was his first game since winning the cup right? And Stamkos also just returned from injury, on top of about 6 or 7 other players who all returned today. Hell when FL beat the bolts in the final 2 games they were without Stamkos, hedman, kucherov, palat, savard, goodrow, McDonough and a couple others. And they played pretty good considering

The sharks vs golden knights game 7 from 2019 was better because it was a 3-goal comeback in the 3rd period in at home that even went to OT (sharks won). Nothing has beat that game since. I’m not saying it’s the best hockey game ever, I’m just saying it’s the best since the 2019 playoffs.

@@hypn0298 not a chance, that was the game with the 5 minute major penalty that shouldn't have been a penalty at all. Only reason the sharks came back, refs ruined the game. The league even came out after the game and said it shouldn't have been a penalty.

Not to real fans. I'm a Leafs fan and I find all of the other series much more entertaining. Leafs/Habs will be the big show, but not the best show. Not by a longshot.

This was the best game of the entire season thus far, this is the battle of Florida, it doesn’t matter if either team gets there ass kicked by Carolina in the next round, this series is worth more then just playoffs.

Great games by both teams. Lighting had a bit more of an edge after the 2nd when they played a hell of a period. Bob played so well today if it wasn’t for him they score would have been more. Only game 1 expect good hockey the next couple of games.

Вот это игра, это просто трэш какой то. Тампа выиграла только благодаря Кучерову и заиграла как прежде, очень остро и агрессивно. Насчëт Флориды был неправ, очень крепкая команда, Саша Барков просто зверь. Нас ждëт очень интересная и непредсказуемая серия. Браво НХЛ, браво настоящий хоккей!!!

Kucherov, picks up right where he left off last playoffs. That last assist, straight FILTHY, on top of 2 goals, unreal. On top of that you got Point being the monster he is too. Barkov, Huberdeau on the other side, only thing I worry about Florida is Bobrovski in this series. Don't think he can match Vasilevsky and I think Drieger might take over. The goals Tampa scored weren't egregious but to win the series against a loaded Tampa team, goalie will need to steal a game or 2, don't think Bobrovski can anymore.

Really wishing Provincial governments would allow even a small amount of fans for the playoffs. After watching the energy the fans provide in these games games down South, it's going to make the North playoffs look and feel like exhibition matches.

yeah this is one of those cases where im like if you just require that people be vaccinated for 2 weeks+ to go itd be cool and just keep it at 25% capacity and make sure that people are at least in groups of 2 from the same household so you can properly space people out

Not really. They have a lot of money in a few bad contracts. Tyler Johnson who hasn’t been effective since 2015 and Alex Kilorn both can be expendable! That frees up some $.. the team will be slightly different next season but probably for the better without those two! And they may try to move Stamkos which would suck, but he’s hurt way too much for his contract

Few things to note in this one. Kucherov is absolutely deadly. Huberdeau is an incredible player. And Florida went from having the least amount of fans in the league to the most. Go figure that! Nice to see the fans get out of their seats every time there was a breakaway - good stuff right there
