He knew that the way he hit him was dangerous possibly causing a shoulder injury. A little bit bitter for Gibson right after getting scored but still a nice gesture that more players needs to take a note of.

Great game for the Oilers and more importantly for Campbell. He needed a game like this. This team can score but goaltending has been weak all season. The past 2 games our goalies have given up zero. They don't need to be great but they do need to be somewhat good for this team to have a chance. Hope they can keep it up

Exactly, people blame the goalies for goals, especially Campbell, when if you actually watch it’s our irresponsible defensive zone play that’s to blame

@Al Grundau Forget the win loss column and look at the other numbers. When a goalie wins a game 6-5 he wasn't a positive factor. If the Oilers didn't have such a potent offence they wouldn't even be looking at a wildcard spot this year with the goaltending they've gotten. Skinner was an all star hahaha, so was David Rittich a few years ago. If Markstrom and Demko hadn't had such brutal seasons Skinner would never have even been a consideration

I love draisaitl not just becuase he's a great player, but because he is so modest and humble. His first goal he scored, he apologized to gibson for running into him. What a humble guy!!

They'll be a serious threat ! Since March 1 to April 1, the Oilers have been 14-2 in straight wins and losses ! They're really rounding into form at the right time will be tough to stop in the playoffs!!

I think Draisaitl is the best shooter in the league, man. I know that’s controversial, but the guy generates so much power and accuracy with just his hands and wrists it doesn’t even make sense. He rarely uses his whole body or even his whole arms to shoot. He’s usually “off balance” and his body is in an awkward position but his hands are square to the net and generates tonnes of power. Never seen anything like it tbh.

This pretty much checks out. I think the only two players one can throw into this mix is Kuzmenko and Point. Can't wait to see Draisaitl light it up in the post season!

😶🌫I know Soup has not had a good year, but go easy on him please Oiler's fans... we still love (and miss) him in Toronto. Campbell always seems to start playing well when it matters most (especially this time of year). Let's keep up those "Sooooooooooooup" chants for him!

can we talk about how forceful the ducks started? The first period the oilers had quite some troubles to solve. Could have easily been 2-3 goals down. After seeing the first period who would have thought about a 6-0 ?

It was a good opportunity for Edmonton to take their foot off the gas, against a weaker team, but they didn't. If they keep it up, they might finish 1st in the West. They have an easier schedule ahead than Vegas does.

I know it is tough Andy; as an Oilers fan, we had many years of misery at the bottom of the league. But there are absolutely some bright spots on the Ducks roster; in a couple years with some more experience and pieces to fill in the weak spots and they will be right there!

Edm has best powerplay in league history by pp%. I cant see this squad winning the cup, but atleast they score like crazy on PP. McD, Drai and RNH has as many point 5on5 as they have on PP.

What an elite company that is! 14 names! In the entire 105 year history of the NHL! ... and only 10 more guys (i) had 2 of those, taking the total number of players, who did it _more than once,_ up to just 24. Ovi and Leon are the only 2 *"still active"* (ii) in that bunch! Phenomenal! And he's still just 27years of age! Just a little over *half as old* as Jaromir _"Methusalem"_ Jagr! (iii) xD - - - - - i) Heatley, Sakic, Bure, Mogilny, Selanne, Roenick, Stevens, LaFontaine, Ciccarelli, Simmer... Better than what happened to Skinner after his first shutout... he got sent back to Bakersfield. Sitting Skinner for last night was a no-brainer. He needs as much rest as is available before (hopefully) getting 16 wins in the post-season.
