Yes, better let him go; he shouldn't play for such biased fans. Blaming him today means that either you have problems with vision, or you are biased, and I suspect the second. When Woll doesn't perform well, you will not have a good substitute.

which two are soft? the first one? sure he left himself get frozen, but the 2nd or 3rd hardly. Hes frozen by the screen, then throw in the "shot" is going wide and the Defense was soft on tying ROR up.... 3rd is a shooter being given too much time and his own team being out of position. clearly you dont actually understand hockey to any significant degree.

@@curtisrodgers5326Second one there was nothing Sammy could do, but the first and third are definitely shots you expect your starter goalie to take. We know not everything is Sammy's fault. The team as a whole didn't perform too well today (apart from a play here and there), but it's hard to see Sammy as the starter with .875%, where the opposing goalie had some tougher pucks going his way and finished with .934%. If Sammy had gotten .934% and the team still lost today, then I don't think people would be pointing him out too much. But it's hard not to when he's been so inconsistent for so many games now. Yes, sub 10 games on the season, a lot to go. But we do need him to get in shape asap.

Tuukka Rask was a Leaf draft pick...Sammy was a 1st round pick for the Caps and later landed in the Leafs lap via free agency. Sammy has the skill set to be a #1, but his mental focus is something he needs to continue working on.

Great game! Could have gone either way. Holding the Leafs to 2 goals is very difficult. Preds needed this one. Their schedule should start to get easier.

@danilolapierre5610 I have seen a number of teams that started with lengthy road trips. The ones that have done well you can point to the coaching. And the Preds have one. They also have several veterans who will keep an even keel.

Poor Samsonov poor discipline and bad penalties cost him. Blaming him is dumb O'Reilly was left alone in front of the net twice. I've never seen a team run the clock down get in overtime then stand still and wait to be scored on. This is another Keefer special including the bench minor.

Don't understand coaching decisions, Woll has been lights out so why not continue with a hot hand. Samsonov has been sporadic to this point. Not saying the loss is his fault but the team may have played better in front of Woll.

Why do the Leaf's always play "just good enough" to be in the game? They have no killer instinct again. They seem to just be reacting to how the opposition decide to play, instead of sticking to an offensive game plan and burying other teams.

Leafs were sloppy and careless all game. Multiple too many men penalties, lots of unforced turnovers and a dreadful OT. Samsonov looked lost in the 1st but he was good enough for the remainder of the game. Also, Marner looked like a plug all game. Having said all that, 3-1-1 on this road trip isn't bad.

You cant over play the kid. He hasn't even started 20 NHL games in his career yet. What if Keefe rides him to much and he gets hurt or burnt out? Personally, I wouldn't start Woll more than 45 games this season. You want him fresh and healthy for the playoffs.

Can you imagine if Toronto had a 7mill and another 6mill cup contender defensemen instead of paying Matthews that cap hit? Leafs have never had a losing record when Matthews has been off on injury a few times. Austin's playoff production drops WAY off from reg season to 0.88ppg What a waste.

Klingberg should not be an NHL defenseman. He should be a forward. He is a liability for any team who is serious about contending for a stanley cup.

Leafs got to stop robing Knies of what he is capable off. Rookie of the year if he plays with Matthews and Tavares. These shouldn't be close games. Robertson should also be up with Tavares and Matthews. Leave Domi and Bertuzi together and let that line to be the shutdown line with Kampf. Finishing off checks really slows the game down. Without having the whole team play defensive hockey, they can continue to let loose and keep scoring.

Terrible coverage last night, Sportsnet. You guys missed so many replays. No replay on the brilliant Nylander breakaway. No replay on the TJ Brodie phantom penalty nobody saw, not even the commentators. Biggest hit of the game by Klingberg, just barely saw it as the play continued...no replay. I stopped counting after the 4th major miss. Whoever was directing replays last night did a terrible job.

When Leafs lose on the road it’s mainly becoz they get goalied, the oppositions goalie plays slightly better, or they hit dingers 🙄😤 isn’t JT Leafs best faceoff guy, if so why did Kampf take draw in OT, so important in OT to win the faceoff as we know u don’t 3rd period could be the last time u touch the puck, Leafs been on both sides of that!

i love sammy hes a great goalie, but something this seasons just off. his conifdence isint there you can even see it first period where he goes for the puck but second guesses halfway through and is farrr out of position. woll in net just knows what hes doing at all times and we have seen it every game he plays. im not gonna drag on samsonov for losing cause im just a fan but somethings def off about his playstyle.

Klingberg is the softest defensemen I know. Holl would have at least tried to block that shot. The fact he whipped the puck after all mad they scored is a joke. Reilly should have just fell into the bench like get the f*** off. Sit and lounge and watch the play. Sammy isnt looking comfortable. Somethings wrong. Fundamentally. Allowing alot of weak goals , out of position, or putting himself out of position. Hes not confident like he was last season
