That is SO much money for 4 players. Nylander is absolutely worth the money imo but man, again alot of dough. It's so weird to think of Nylander not in a leafs jersey

You probably didn't get to see the interview with Nylander in Swedish after the game, but he was very happy to win in front of his family and friends for whom he has bought 90+ tickets. he was not happy with the start of the match but said that when they started working the goals came. All with the biggest smile on

Leafs fans are starting to see the true Bertuzzi. He's at his best when he keeps his feet moving. At his best, he is non-stop hustle. He wasn't doing that at the beginning of the season and fans were not impressed with him, rightfully so. He likes to get rid of the puck quickly, so he needs to play with players who can get open right away. He will feed them and go to the net.

the Leafs have a Nylander problem im not sure they even thought they would have this bad. they have to pay him cause he is worth every penny. hes a pure game breaker and playmaker. few wingers like him.

Well, the NHL salary cap is expected to jump by $4.5 million next year. Plus the Leafs have a lot of contracts coming off the books at the end of this season: T.J. Brodie ($5 million cap hit), Matt Murray ($4.6975 million cap hit), Max Domi ($3 million cap hit), Jake Muzzin ($5.625 million cap hit), John Klingberg ($4.15 million cap hit), Ilya Samsonov ($3.55 million cap hit), Tyler Bertuzzi ($5.5 million cap hit), Mark Giordano ($800,000 cap hit)...I doubt most of those players will be back next year, so the Leafs should (hopefully) have enough room to sign Willy. If Treliving is forced to pull off a trade to make it happen, he will.

@@JohnJackson-ut9sz Skating is not just straight line speed, it's also edges, turns and how you're able to move laterally with the puck on your stick, holding the zone or entering the zone. Another player who's crazy good at this is Kuznetsov.

How can you NOT be excited for this Bertuzzi-Tavares-Nylander line??? And we were all ready to throw Bertuzzi to the wolves a week ago.. the man's just catching his stride, and I hope and pray it continues.. And this 'might' be the 2nd best offensive line the team has, considering what Knies contributes to line #1. Exciting stuff, GLG!!!

@@Lucas-oc3hg my brother and I cycled onto a ferry from New Castle England to Gothenburg where we met some young farmers, (brothers Jan & Klaus Anderson), that were returning from a motor cycle tour of the British Isles, and they hired us on to help with harvest and other chores on their farm near Vårgårda. We spent 4-5 weeks there fattening ourselves and our bank accounts back up, and were treated to a new party in a new location every weekend, time of our lives. Then we cycled north to ride the Oslo Bergen rail for a side trip. In the fall we headed south through the Danish islands, Copenhagen, and eventually down through Germany, Switzerland, Italy all the way to the Mediterranean.

Yeah, but he bounced back and kept us on the game afterwards, so not too much heat now. I feel that he is getting there. A couple more games playing like he did 90% of the game and he'll be back to the old Sammy. Woll of course is still a very good shadow behind him if he starts slacking or playing sloppy again. Now that we are actually playing better defensively, both goalies are solid options for us :)

Let’s see. Bystander still has by standing in him, I think. Has his game gone to another level? He reminds me of 44, lackadaisical, can’t concentrate, inconsistent….he has to, for THAT, money put in 60 minutes and For a whole season, including the playoffs. I’m not sure he has the grit, nor Reilly, nor what’s his name, 34. Stamina, dedication, strength outside personal interest? A leaf killer!

Dang, missed opportunity not using our actual goal song in Sweden. I know we were the "away" team but they played a recording of a horn when we scored, might as well have loaded up our goal song too. Great come back from what looked like a bogus penalty shot call, especially when Lyons clearly kicked off the net before when Mitch Marner shot it.

Lyon didn’t really do anything. Walman lost an edge and got hurt on the play, so I don’t think either knocked it off intentionally

@WMUsiv1 in the replay you can see Lyons down kicking the net off before Marner shot it or Walman crashed the net right after..it was pretty clear...not that it matters since the Leafs pulled the come back in great form...I just think it was a heart breaker to see that penalty shot in Detriots favour for ?? And it set the tone in their favour for the 2nd goal which seemed to really set them back but William Nylanders incredible play lifted the come back kids to another level and Bertuzzi must've been thrilled to score on his old club and seal the deal...I haven't seen this kind of never say die effort since the days of Dougie Gilmour, who could turn the game around even if they were down 3 or 4 goals!! Great stuff and great effort by the Leafs!

Players are allowed way too much time to take penalty shots, they weave all over the width of the ice, slow almost to a stop then start again, and do all kinds of tricks...it's not a fair fight...there should be a shot clock with a maximum time allowed to shoot after you touch the puck, like 5 seconds...just enough time to skate at a decent speed on a straight line to the net and make 1 to 2 dekes...more like an actual breakaway which this penalty is designed to simulate, c'mon man

Marner goal refs denied was bogus. Walman realized he fallen behind the play and dove right into the net and pushed with his left arm, what a faker. Goalie Lyon also pushes net with his left leg and glove arm. These refs are blind.

Walman left the game injured after the “fake diving” play. definitely not going to play our best left handed D the rest of the game because he isn’t injured because he “faked it” give me a break lol

@@vivid_prizm It was a fake originally but actually hurt himself when he hit the net awkwardly. He wanted to knock the net off but not where he gets hurt
