I honestly don’t think the rangers are a worry to us, I would say the canes are. If you watched that game they locked us up; we technically had 1 goal but it was offsides. They’re still a tough team. But I will say I can’t see any team right now beating us 4 times before *we* beat them 4 times. Maurice is a genius, and if we have a fully healthy team, we’re set.

I'm all for it but I don't want that president trophy curse 😭 We were the best two years ago and got eliminated by Tampa in the second round and Boston looked unstoppable last year and an 8th seed Florida Panthers squad who clinched game 81 went down 3-1 and forced a game 7 and won in the Garden. 37 President Trophies have been given out and only 8 teams have successfully won it all with the last being the Chicago Dynasty in 2012-2013 I believe. It isn't horrible odds, about 22% which is a 1 in 5 shot of happening. And technically the Panthers faced the lowest odds possible and did something only one team has ever done in NHL history which was being the 8th seed with a 40 point differential separation between them and the record breaking President Trophy winning Boston Bruins and came back from a 3-1 deficit winning the next 3 straight with two of those 5, game 5 and 7 being in Boston. Those odds have never been done before so if they can do that , they can do anything but the problem when you're a top seed is by the time you get to the conference final or the finals your team is completely beat up. They've been playing playoff hockey and I get it. For the Panthers market 2 president trophies and a finals run in three years is the most successful the team has ever been but they have this year and next to really run for the cup before we could lose Reinhart, Verhagae, Ekblad, Montour, Forsling, and I'm not sure what the franchise will do with OEL and Reinhart can get a 9 million dollar contract somewhere else after this year. Plus they have to sign Lundell since his entry level contract is up this year.

Всё могло бы быть иначе, а так сломали карьеру Никиты Гусева и перспективы клуба на звание самого зрелищного. Наброски того несостоявшегося хоккея, ставшего послевкусием Гусева, раскрывшего увядающие в команде-аутсайдере таланты, изредка просматриваются. Вспомним, как изменил НХЛ приход игроков из СССР. Дело ведь не только в ловкости, упорстве и везении, дело в хоккейной химии. Этого в Дежерси не удалось, упрощая игру, вынимая из игры душу, нерв, искру.
