yes, Bob played well, however, the Oilers still allowed 5 goals against and Bob had no influence on the Oiler defense

Scary how close this final is going to be. Its going to be a 7 game series hopefully favoring the panthers. Oilers have the speed and play making that is tought but the panthers have the experience and drive. Im going to be stressed watching the finals. Hope BoB does BoB things and gets us that cup!

After two rather weak efforts Bobrovsky finally turned in a monster of a performance and the guns came alive to make a statement. Thank you Panthers. Also, it's nice to see Sportsner giving a highlights reel that includes great efforts by both teams that do not necessarily result in a score.

Everyone says Edmonton needs a goalie (and they do) but without help, you could have the most elite goalie in the league back there with that defense and still probably end up with a 3+ GAPG.

Бобр кстати этим и отличается от многих других вратарей, бывает, что он играет не очень надежно, но в ключевые моменты он концентрируется, спасает свою команду и дает ей шанс на победу, тогда как многие другие отличные вратари, например Ульмарк, Густафсон, Шестеркин, наоборот в такой момент могут дрогнуть и подвести.

If you listen closely, you can hear Oiler fans thinking '"If we just had a Goaltender like this..." But the truth is it wouldn't matter, under pressure and grit from an opposing team you see the same defensive breakdowns, and Oiler goaltenders hung out to dry.

Oils goalie situation is so bad its like an empty net for the opposition team. The 2 goalies combined experience is less than 365 days. You can tell an experienced goalie like brobovsky is difficult to beat even on a penalty shot or breakaway. Oils need that trade.

The Oilers could certainly use a upgrade in net but the root problem is that they cant or just don't defend. If there is some form of defensive structure the tenders they have would not be constantly left alone facing high danger shots with 3 to 4 guys just watching the puck. The Oilers are a skilled Pond hockey team.

Oilers are ALL offense and NO defense. Has been that way for a DECADE and no team can win a Cup on offense only. I think it will take them missing the playoffs or out in 1st round before they trade for a goalie. This has been MANAGEMENTS doing for a decade. Can't keep blaming/firing coaches.
