No doubt. The Wings were not helping out their goaltenders tonight. Very disappointed in their play. Too timid. The Avalanche are a very good team, though. As a Wings fan that hurts, but it's true.

As an avs fan it feels weird to say but the Wings are honestly one of the Eastern teams I don't mind so much. I'd take you guys winning another cup over Florida or the Rangers any day.

I don’t wanna sound negative but I’m officially concerned about making the playoffs. I know it’s Colorado and Florida and I know Larkin was out. I don’t care. You CANNOT be outscored 11-2 while giving up over 90 shots over two games and expect to be a playoff team. We’ve been subpar this season against strong competition, and there’s a lot of that coming up, especially on the road. Something needs to change and fast, or we’ll fall out of a playoff spot just as quickly as we surged into one. I love this team forever but it’s really starting to get frustrating

Yeah i just don’t get it. Very frustrating. I thought they turned a corner with that 6 game winning streak. The last two games aren’t just losses, they are getting dominated. I wonder if Yzerman has a solution for the shaky defense before the trade deadline hits.

Pump the breaks. This team has been consistently getting better every year. It literally doesn’t matter if they are a first round out. It’s the first time this group will make the playoffs and experience is the thing they need. They don’t need to shake anything up. Defense has been the worst part about this team. Their best defensemen is a 22 year old sophomore going up against the greatest hockey players playing at the highest level and he looks average. Which is AMAZING for, again, a 22 year old sophomore. Reactionary outbursts don’t build dynasties.

They still have 20 games left, tied in pts with tampa and a steadily improving islanders team right behind them. They’re suddenly on a 3 game skid at the worst time. This wild card spot can quickly slip away.

We should have more kids in the line up. Stop letting them over ripen. Wings are frustrating that way. This current team would get walked in four, it would be better to adjust off season and shed some players to play the new blood. They would bring more energy to this team

When the Avs get their two new players they picked up today, watch out! Adding Casey Mittelstadt and losing Johansen, it's like a double win. Not to mention picking up Sean Walker as well, who is having a great season. This team if they can stay healthy, is going to be a blast to watch.

I love my avs but the Panthers would win in 5 or 6. Panthers embarrassed the Avs in both their games this season and the Panthers are extremely hungry for the cup. I'd personally prefer Avs Vs. Rangers in the finals

Save of the year candidate by Georgiev, MacKinnon 4 points, Mikko 4 points, Makar 1st career Hat Trick, Foudy 1st NHL goal, the Avs dropping 55 SOG, etc. All of this without new acquisitions like Walker and Mittelstadt as well as players in Landeskog, Nichushkin, and LOC. This team will be TERRIFYING if all regular players play. It makes it that much sweeter that this was against the Dead Wings.

Avs just stomped all over the Wings. That’s it. Mackinnon 4 points, Mikko 4 points, Cale 4 points and a Hat-trick. It was so fitting that they did this to Detroit of all teams.

I know all about Colorado, I have season tickets to a division rival and I very rarely miss watching a road game. You have to keep your stick on the ice against that team. The only way to beat them is to play your game better than they play theirs. For all 60 minutes.

It's called Hart Trophy, but yeah, he's pretty close, but so is Kucherov. MacKinnon is now at 109 points, Kucherov is at 105. The voters don't care about advanced stats, even though they should. If they did, MacKinnon would've and should've easily won the Hart Trophy in 2018 and 2020, but he got snubbed both times.

I dont mean to be "that guy" I dont get where people think this is a good team and a team that can compete in the playoffs (if they even make it lol) I dont see it even in a few years just way too many holes everywhere. Lyon is below average (statistically) our defense is laughable and though Raymond and Seider have taken a step it wasn't the step we thought. This is not a contender and won't be for a while. We can beat bad teams all day but when it comes to competing against good teams we aren't good enough.

Reminds me of the 2018 Avs as an Avs fan, although the Wings are slightly better than that team. Good enough to make the playoffs, but competing for the Cup is a whole different monster.

Relax buddy lol. It's a losing skid that we'll get over. Lyon has been solid, he's 14th in the league in save percentage, so I don't know what you're on about him being below average. We just beat this same exact Avs team two weeks ago during our hot streak, so we're capable of competing against good teams. Nobody's expecting a cup win this year out of the Wings- just chill.

Poor coaching for detroit on this one. Do they not have anyone to match up against this top line? Hard to get the match up when your the visting team. But you gotta get your shooters out there against their weaker lines. Putting kane out there to defend mckinnon isnt going to work.

To be fair, putting anyone out there to defend Mackinnon isn't going to work. Everyone's been trying and he still has 109 points in 61 games. The league's defensemen are a trailer park and Mackinnon's a tornado. He just casually destroys entire teams.

That it is Denver in a nutshell. It's a transplant city. Most the people that live there aren't from there. A lot of games in Denver are absolutely loaded with away fans. Detroit, Chicago, St Louis, and so on.

50+ shots and a 7-2 game. Buddy, Detroit was screwed with or without refs. Plus, every penalty on Detroit was legit. Either throwing the puck out or whacking someone’s face.
