Jared Spurgeon scored two goals including the game-winner while Kevin Fiala collected four points with three assists as the Minnesota Wild defeated the San Jose Sharks 5-4 (OT).

MAF had an off night and the Sharks so did not need that OT point.It is cool some sharks players are still trying but no OT.These points HURT the team. I would be cool with Remier being the #2 goalie but the Sharks need a legit starter.Adin Hill is hurt and I would rather he be playing over Remier now.KAAPO KAHKONEN has the best save percentage of the 3 but obviously the point can be made the Sharks defense is worse than all 3 goalies combined and if sharks going to replace someone it should be them first. The Wild obviously cant have games like this in the playoffs and expect to win but that was more on MAF alone.

@@joeg3741 I hope they dont play each other in first round because if they play in another round it will be better/more intense.I know many blues fans are already looking past the wild and view them as easy but we will see.If MAF plays like that it will be.

В смысле купили ? Обменяли наверно! Думаешь синие рубахи за такого вратаря согласились бы взять игрока из 3,4 звена , нет они бы запросили игрока из первых двух звеньев , а Миннесота не пойдет на это , или отдать все свои важные пики если они есть , так что наврятли мы увидим Георгиева в Миннесоте

Wonder how much longer the Sharks are going to go with the "no rebuild" plan? I mean, I get it, their hands are tied up with the Three Amigos (Pickles, Burns and EK65). Still, something has got to give.

The no rebuild plan was 100% Doug Wilson who is gone.Even the recent Hertl extension I bet was approved by him which a rebuilding team would not have done.The next GM has to rebuild because the team wont be good enough anyway unless he is like a god at drafting.So much of the sharks cap is already spent and they need to trade or extend Meier probably as soon as he is hired.

That would be the case if they were in eastern conference. But they have no chance to win vs central division teams (besides Dallas)

The 1st and 2nd Periods might have been the worst two periods of hockey MIN has played in at least 3 years. Like they got 2 goals and just stopped playing until 10 min to go in the third. I get it’s their third game in 4 nights, but each players only being asked to give it their all for 20 minutes a night. But we got the 2pts, and have 3 more non playoff teams to farm some points and get home ice!

@@timothyehrler4325 The Wild are 0-1-2 against the Blues this year and their only regulation loss was the Winter Classic when they were basically an AHL team and still only lost by two. The two teams have yet to meet when the Wild were fully healthy and they still took them to overtime twice. The advantage actually swings Minnesota's way where they're the better 5v5 team by statistics and special teams are less of a factor. The series could honestly go either way.

I’m confused on what play you’re talking about. If it was fialas goal he wasn’t in the paint. And even then the goalie stretched his glove out. Get educated

Fiala was well outside of the paint. Im guessing the sharks coach didn't challenge because it was obviously a good goal and they didn't want to go shorthanded.

So this is the Fleury Minnesota wanted so badly. he has not been very good overall this season and really hasn't been any better for the wild so far who are a better team than Chicago. the one thing Fleury will always have is the big save potential to rob you but if he can't make the routine ones it doesn't matter. it's not like the wild paid a huge price for him but the consequence for bringing Fleury was giving up on Kakhonen when In all seriousness he has been very good for minnesota. A jesper wallstedt and Kakhonen one two seems like it would have been ideal. instead of old dusty cam and Fleury going forward. He's ganna have to be a lot better down the stretch and into the playoffs for them to make a significant run. the fact that they are still platooning with both evenly says it all, Marc just hasn't TAKEN the job yet and they need him too before the playoffs start.

With The Wild, Fleury has a 2.36 Goals against average, which would be 5th best in the league over the whole season and a .921 Save percentage, which would put him at 7th in the league. That is definitely better than he was with the hawks, and it is better than both talbot and kahkonen.

@@helgey7212 the problem is the goals he's giving up though. That 2.36 goals hes giving up per game are bad goals, they are routine save type of goals. As I said, we all know Fleury can make the highlight real ones, but when he isn't making the saves you expect him to is where the issue lies. Yes, longer term Kak and Wall were the ideal situation for Minnesota. Why Minnesota did not move Talbot instead of Kak is beyond me if Fleury was the guy you wanted to run with going forward this season anyway. And it's not because Talbot was unmoveable, it's actually because Minnesota thought Talbot was the better option long term and he's just not compared with Kak and his upside and cost control.
