It's actually a brilliant marketing strategy by the NHL. They can pull in new fans because they'll see it as one of the attractions they can go to. Watching a game live is one of the best ways to see it, so they can take that home with them and become a fan of their local team.

A little backstory on 2:00 - Before this goal, Boyle was hit from behind; after the fall one of the Stars said it was a dive.. Boyle scores then skates to the guy who called him a diver and said "YEAH YOU LIKE THAT MOTHERFUCKER?!" .. celebrated the goal then went after him again. He apologized later in the postgame saying it was childish. However the fans LOVED it
