The more I see of George Conway, the more I like him. He's incredibly smart, and so knowledgeable, and has such a good sense of humor, you cannot help but enjoy any nuggets of insight he has to offer. He often says things that lift my sagging spirits, and he did so now with his assurance that the Trump trial will go forward sometime in the coming year! God, I hope he's right, and he probably is!

The 2 historians are right. The south already "rose again" once. The United States had statues and military bases honoring insurrectionestd all accross the south creeping into the north. Prisons replaced plantations. The current situation is bizarre The southern states are leading the assault on voting rights against Blacks and Latinos. Meanwhile the colleges and universities have no problem using their sons and daughters to win ballgames in all the sports. It takes an hour or two to get into a college event. Eight to ten or more to vote. Sometimes, people of color then find that they have been, like in Florida in 2000, stricken illegally from the voting rolls. GIVE ME YOUR ATHLETIC PROGRESS WHILST I DISENFRANCHISE YOUR RELATIVES. DUH!!!

As a matter of fact, the SC is indeed above the law and the Constitution. Whatever they rule, including making up jurisprudence on the fly, cannot be overturned, except by a future SC.
