Have you followed these steps while laying Italian Marble? or how to install Italian marble?
Hi and welcome to Le Marble Gallery (MG). There are a lot of people facing issues after laying the Italian Marbles. We have decided to take a video that will help us all understand the steps that is required for a concrete finish.
1. To fill the floor-
There are two ways to this, either by normal sand or mud or quarry waste.
2. Then PCC - once you do PCC on top of that you put a polythene sheet. It's a precaution taken to prevent moist to not raise above. Once that is done, we will put a steel rod and do RCC with a 8mm in order for any cracks to be prevented.
3. Then O levelling. Then we use an Adhesive wherein the marble is placed in top.
4. Customers must buy marbles that are numbered and accordingly place purchase orders. This is because it should be placed as per numbers because only then you get the design continuation. Cut the marble on all 4 sides for placing on the floor. After cutting for safety purpose we put a steel on wooden plank on top of this. After which we place this properly and then remove the fibre. Once we remove the fibre fully, then we most importantly put an understone primer on the marble. Even after a lot of precaution, moisture may still get on the marble. After which adhesive is applied on both the marble and the floor. Then we stick the marble to the floor.
