No matter how you said it, in most cases you just have to ignore it. Going to the bathroom,no explanation is required, any explanation is just too detail. All you have to do is just say excuse me, back in minute. As little details as possible.

I was in a Chinese based school in HK so had a weak foundation. My friends who went to Maryknoll Convent school, St Paul co-ed, Diocesan Girls School (DGS) etc, their command of English are excellent straight from school.

I never heard my American friends say "My nature calls." It isn't common to say so. Usually people said, "I need to go to the toilet/ladies/bathroom".
