Nasser was born in Germany to an Egyptian father and a Yugoslav mother. He had a passport from Yugoslavia. He had a degree in history, political science, and sociology. Nasser spoke 7 languages fluently (Serbio_Kroatian, Arabic, English, French, Italian, Spanish and German). One of a kind ✊

Unironically, his behavior in these kinds of situations (such as the interview with the young woman) are probably a contributing factor to why he never won an Olympia. The organizers did not want an Olympia champion to be someone who was considered risky from a PR perspective. Unfortunately, Nasser was just that--someone who might have damaged their brand due to his behavior from time to time.

Even though Nasser was a little bit soft from behind compared to Dorian , should have won in 1997. He clearly beat Dorian from the front , and other poses he has no weakness , exposed Dorian' s torn triceps too. Even Dorian would not have surprised if Nasser won 1997 Mr.Olympia.

@@Faazthetruthseeker he wasn't a little bit soft from behind, he was soft all over. High resolution pictures and footage (get big tv on youtube) prove that he was significantly less conditioned top to bottom in every single pose. 4 mandatory poses > 3 mandatory poses that Nasser won. He was simply too soft and weak in the poses that Yates historically dominated, a torn tricep didn't change that

I met him twice in 99 and 2000, both times in California. He came and worked out one time in my gym and he made a spectacle. Maybe he was having a bad day but several members were arguing with him cause Nasser felt they shouldn't be working next to him.

Thanks so much for posting this!! My all time favourite bodybuilder!! I remember in the mid 90s first Dorian set the standard for ripped monster mass, then Mike Francois looked like he'd be Dorian's main rival. But then Nasser started fulfilling his vast potential, and my God, he hit a standard in size that's still never been equaled!! Btw why was he being so mean with that little female journalist? 😂😂😂Nasser was normally a gentleman!!

You know most of us here like 80s-90s bodybuilding even more than the current one. Good job on the video. Got robbed in 97 Olympia sadly. I paused it at 5:56 min. and what a shame! That's not what the best bodybuilder of the world should look like. Especially in the 90s.
