I think he was just happy to get the comeback. Losing to gief is one of the most frustrating losses as but it never really pisses me off personally. You got so much going in your favor as the Akuma player it usually comes patience, decision making, and experience.

Real men post their losses as well as their wins. Also credit to that Akuma for having his stuff on point and being ready to punish. I say that because as much as it's basic fundamentals for all of us I can't count the number of times my brain just decided not to work and I missed, or dropped a punish opportunity like that. It happens just every blue moon or so to keep me in check.

It wasn't. It was just a combo that required more meter. EX Lariat would have led to grab combo but he was in burnout.
