I stopped breathing for the last few metres of the takeoff! I can't imagine flying a model that big. Awesome model and so glad people build and fly these amazing aircraft.

The engineering and building of this model has to be acurate. The full sized aircraft can be more forgiving. Hats off to the builder and ground pilot

Designed In USSR, for space programs name of "Snowstorm" (originally rus. "Buran") , but after the collapse of the USSR, this aircraft became the most expensive cargo carrier (4 billions $ unite). There are 2 of them, the second is somewhere between Russia and Ukraine, unfinished.

@@userallo1496 к сожалению, в этом конструктиве он уже не нужен. слишком громоздок для обычных целей, слишком уникален и неподходящ для того же космоса. Он был нужен для "Бурана", а Бурана нет.

An excellent achievement... the result of expertise in the field...well recorded video. Every time when a great project like this ends with a damage I wonder if there was another run-way rather than a pretty rough meadow. I am surprised that these small wheels span at all...as the roughness of the terrain is proportionally much bigger than a wheel diameter.

The poor design of the wheels is not tall enough...to complicate for the length of the pitch of the wings...it basically doesn't leave any room for error or wind and speed" if...your not going to add ATLEAST 2inches to the wheels underneath" ..Then you have to add wheels to the wings to take out human error or wind and speed drag...at some point...he will tear one of the wings off..or damage the connection to body.. were it attaches to...it's just a model plane...but those RC MODELS AT THAT SIZE COST ON AVERAGE...$60.000 TO $80.000 ..it is What it is 👍 0:02

Very impressive model. At least a small comfort after having lost it's big mam to war. The best thing is, this model actually takes off and lands on field and shows what the real plane actually was capable to do as well if needed.

Only the inner Engine Covers are actually engines I think. If it would have 6 actual engines it could make a ballistic start :) Telling myself now: Read before you write. It has 6 Engines. Only the outer 4 are weaker.

Pretty fair landing considering the unevenness of the landing strip. There isn't much clearance with those wheels and even a slight dip in the field would pose a problem with that wide wingspan and 3 engines. Amazing feat nonetheless!!

So every bump on that grass runway of just a centimetre, would be like putting a 16cm high lump in the real aircraft's run way. I'm pleasantly surprised they managed to get it off the ground, and not at all surprised they had trouble with a smooth landing. Well done.

Landing surface has nothing to do with it. The whole approach was just poorly executed, with very litle actual control over the plane... Elevator inputs not smooth and forward thinking enough to achieve a constant sinkrate, that led to an initial "first impact" with way to much vertical speed. combine that with too much airspeed at that point as well, leading to the plane bouncing back into the air, and after that no pitch control/adjusting at all , resulting an even harder second impact.... would have happened on a perfectly smooth runway as well.

As a builder of such a beautiful plane, stucking many hours in building these complex models, I would never join the show where the organizer is not able to provide paved runway. It's the shame that this happens in Germany. I have seen a lot of planes crashing at this site... 😏 Plane is a beauty... 🙂

I think that hard runways is worst for this models, they don't provide a functional suspension to absorb the impact on the asphalt, transfering it to the structure, considering that most of landings of this models is a "controled fall", maybe the grass is better.
