I noticed that when it came to Iraq, the language was 'Bush & Blair'; when it was Libya and Syria, it was 'The USA'. I don't even consider myself right-wing, but notice a serious imbalance when it comes to mocking politicians. I've seen FB threads shut down after people have openly mocked Diane Abbot: there was no misogyny or racism present but it didn't mean that the poster was spared such accusations. I've also had comments about Nichola Sturgeon removed from FB and The BBC because I've referred to her as 'Krankie' or 'Wee Nippy'. People being annoyed is one thing; actually having my comments deleted by moderators is another. I'd also have more respect for left-wing comedians if they just simply stated that they don't target Islam because they're shit-scared. Their excuses for not using it as the basis for material is funnier than most of their intentionally comedic material.
