Anyone ever stopped to think that maybe God gave us the plant to help us in our time of need but no, nobody thinks about that. It is not a sin unless we put it before the Almighty God.

I have smoked weed illegally for 13 years and now have my medical card but recently quit. I have never felt closer to God in my life..

I used to be a marijuana user among other things. I quit the harder drugs but still smoked pot for a long while before getting into the word. No one told me it was bad when I started reading the Bible, but as the months rolled on and I got deeper into the word I began to feel more and more convicted about it. Not long after I quit using it, truly a supernatural chastening led me to sobriety. The intrusive thoughts, emotional unavailability, and lackadaisical nature one has while under its influence are certainly not in line with the spirit.

As somebody who used weed heavily for 16 years I can say from experience that I feel closer to God once I finally quit. Life is better with a clear head and it's great not feeling like I have to smoke to feel peace and joy - that's what Jesus and the Holy Spirit provide for us 👍

I felt like God gave me the green light to start up again in moderation. Just like people who drink wine, they drink it for digestion and in moderation. Not to get drunk. I think the problem with people is them thinking you have to try to be just like jesus to have him accept you i might be coping but i believe jesus is such a good person even if you sin as long as you know your place and dont go to far and still ask for forgiveness and thank him thats all he could ask for.

Well Nicholas, I live with chronic pain. My bone broke and didn't heal back into position. God isn't going to put my bone back into place to correct the problem but if he does then I can get off the pain killers which relieves my physical pain. You pray for me for God to reset my bone back into place and I'll let you know if he does...

I dont know how much of sin smoking weed and drinking are, but I know it probably doesn't allow the holy Spirit to fill you as much when you are altering your mind.

I’m an alcoholic but I am over a year sober with alcohol. It was really really really bad for about 5 1/2 years and lead to so much destruction. Once I finally got sober, I started smoking. But the difference between the weed and the alcohol is that with alcohol, I had absolutely no control would be on it for days at a time all day. With weed, I use it to sleep and don’t need to use it other than a little bit at night. Sometimes I do feel bad. But I don’t believe I am able to get a sound night of sleep without it. I’m not doing it to get ‘twisted’ or anything like that. I do enjoy the effects of being more care free and relaxed, but ultimately it’s a little bit before bed to sleep. Do you guys think that because of what it is being used for, as opposed to not being able to sleep well at all and effecting other parts of my life, that god can understand?

What if you find yourself reading the bible more after smoking? What about if being sober causes you to go to jail and prison? Im an angry person with a short fuse, and prison no longer scares me. I make better decisions and nowhere near angry after smoking weed. What do you say to that
