31:28 The fact that Shikamaru had to go throug the shit of the Asuma death arc so that he becomes this GOD of a character is amazing. This is real shit. If you are in your 20s, as some of us were back in the day, this hits so hard. At some point you have to become THE ADULT, the one responsible, for you, for the next generation. This is Naruto as a series growing up along the people who were kids when first started watching. It is a BRILLIANT speech from the writter to the watcher delivered in a perfect way without breaking the logic in universe. This is masterful storytelling!

There are a few moments in Naruto that bring me feels like this one does. One that has happened by this point is the convo between Lee and Gai when he was making the choice to do the surgery. Can't watch either of these without shedding a tear.

"if Jiraiya was the fifth hokage he would've never let you go" is one of my favorite lines in this anime. It is so painfully direct to someone who is suffering on her own so much, I just couldn't believe he said that, whiile I completely understand where it came from. No anime moves like Naruto does man, even years after it finished and having watched this unironically more than 15 times

personally I find the choice of Kishimoto sensei excellent because basically we have a main hero who is always full of joy, life and, ironically for a ninja, very noisy so we would have expected screams and a huge explosion of anger, but instead we have an "empty" Naruto where what comes out is only pain... I find this even more impactful

If you only "Just met" the 6 tail you didnt had the true naruto experience. Seeing him going out is for every true naruto fun a big stitch to the heart.

We had ALL the theories about Madara. I even remember there was a theory of him being Sasuke from the future.

The Filler Arcs are actually pretty decent and add to the world. This was the Six-Tails Filler Arc where Naruto actually gets to interact with another Tailed-Beast User. Its theme is basically about Master and Student. Its only 8 Episodes long but it was a good Filler Arc.

I was 9 years old when this episode came out. When I saw it, I had seen Jiraya more times than my little sister. You can't imagine how huge was my Pain.

How many years had passed and I still can't help but cry seeing this chapter 😢 Iruka and Shikamaru really helped Naruto overcome with the sadness of losing Jiraya sensei

For me these scenes and attachments to characters is what makes it special among big 3. You can argue which one is overall better series among big 3 but I have never felt so attached to any characters like Naruto series. It still makes me cry to see them all die.

Shikamaru is one of the coolest characters in the show...
