I first heard this song when I was a kid. My dad kept the Christian radio station on 24/7, and one night I woke up from a terrible nightmare. This song was playing, and I remember falling in love with it immediately. It made me feel safe, and I was able to go back to sleep with ease. Over the years I forgot about it, but suddenly it popped up in a Christian music playlist. I almost cried. Every time I listen to it, I feel that comforting feeling that I felt that night. What a great song for “such a time as this.” I have felt ashamed so many times that I haven’t spoken the Truth in love but have remained silent. Whether on sharing my faith or speaking up for truth in conversations with friends. This song has made my want to be brave. With the power of the Holy Spirit I have been seeing victories! Started Bible study at work and lead a coworker to the Lord. I always listen to this song when what I feel God is calling me to do is too scary. The scarier thought is what if I am losing out on what God wants to do through me. Maybe we don’t feel God working in our lives because we are never stepping out in faith and seeing what He can do through us. I am beginning to learn this.

This song might be a couple years old now but God just brought it back to me. It suits what God is showing me for 2019 so perfectly. Its going to be a year where everything must be on purpose and definitively chosen. Where I must seek diligently to do whatever the Lord wills. Unswerving like a pointer dog on a scent. This passion for 2019 comes with the greatest of uncertainties but also the greatest of joy knowing that I can hold onto the Father and be brave no matter what craziness lies ahead.
