As Nick said, this was a rhetorical question. The reporter knew the answer and only asked as an attempt to embarrass or humiliate Nick. That is a stupid question.

The catch22, about talking to the press is, A. give great interviews, and then they won't leave u alone, or B. give laconic, interviews, or avoid them completely, and they rip u... Pretty brutal. Bonds was always testy, and avoidant of the press... and they (unfairly) vilified him. His dad, Bobby Bonds, hated the press. So he told Barry to not give them the time of day. I guess, bad advice. Oh well.......
