Nick Castle -- who famously portrayed the dreaded 'Michael Myers' character in the esteemed classic horror film, "Halloween" -- shares his recollections and views on the film and its legacy with fellow Horror enthusiasts at the 2018 Niagara Falls Comic Con.
Nicholas Charles Castle Jr. (born September 21, 1947) is an American screenwriter, film director and actor best known for his role as 'Michael Myers' in "Halloween," directed by John Carpenter. Castle also co-wrote "Escape from New York" with Carpenter. Castle's other film credits include "Dark Star" where he played the beach ball alien, "Major Payne," "Dennis the Menace," "The Last Starfighter," and "Connors' War" as a director. He wrote the screenplays for the films "Escape from New York" and "Hook." He was the writer and director of the film "Tap."
Castle's most recent project as a writer is "August Rush," a musical-drama directed by Kirsten Sheridan and starring Freddie Highmore, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, Robin Williams, and Keri Russell, which was released in 2007. He also stars as himself in the 2010 documentary "Halloween: The Inside Story" by Filipino filmmaker Nick Noble. On December 20, 2017, it was announced that Castle would be reprising his role as 'Michael Myers' in the new Halloween film.
Castle won a Saturn Award for Best Writing for "The Boy Who Could Fly," a Silver Raven (for "Delivering Milo"), a Grand Prize (for "The Last Starfighter"), a Bronze Gryphon, and a Gold Medal of the Regional Council.

If you ever get the privilege to meet the legendary Nick Castle you will not be disappointed because he is without a doubt one of if not the coolest, nicest, most down to earth people on the planet. Case and point i was recently in the hospital and a friend of mine went to a horror convention that legendary Nick Castle was going to be at and my friend not only did he autograph my Michael Myers funko pop but he sent me a personal get well soon video. That just goes to show that he truly cares about and truly appreciates his fans.

Such a cool guy I got to talk to him today he signed my mask and wrote the shape. He also did a free photo with me and we talked about acting. Very very very humble person

And they were about to make TWO BACK to back Halloween Movies but decided against it for now because they wanted to see how this movie does before we get the Sequels according to Danny Mcbride So the ending will be left Ambiguous,Open for a Sequel or two...AWSM!!I was worried about that

+Anthony I reckon how they will do this is there will be some allusion as to there possibly being two Micheal Myers, one a imposer and i think thats where the reporter comes into play. I think he will be someone who gains a unhealthy obsession with Micheal Myers and pretends to be him. What leads me to this is theres clearly two different people from the shot of the toilet door, to the shot of Micheal Myers putting on the mask outside somewhere, you can just see very short, grey hair as he puts it on. Another shot with The Shape in the bedroom window, everyone notices that, but no one seems to notice the silhouette in the room window on the left side.

It doesnt matter what alot of people said. The fact remains: John Carpenter and Debra Hill killed him off in the original vision, Keyphrase, the original vision. this is what Blumhouse is honoring. Akkad didnt create said original vision, thats a strawman people use to sidestep the facts. Its rather silly of people to pretend that just because Akkad and Co. brought him back, he wasnt killed off. After hearing john has returned and knowing his very vocal stance on the sequels including art 2, its no suprise they went this route. The only people confused are those who dont know the history

How old are you? You have to understand how convoluted those movies are? Druid Cults? Samhain? Who is the Mysterious Man in Black? Micheal Jamie's Uncle? Micheal the baby's father? Incest!? Then Twenty Years later, but oh no, thats a retcon, and then Micheal Myers? Imposter!? Busta Rhymes kicks Micheal Myer's ass!? Laurie dies in such a cheap, empty death!?!? Then, another retcon?? Micheal Myers grows up in dysfunctional trailer park trash, rocker family, hes neglected and becomes all fucked up? White Horse Symbolism? Laurie Strode psychotic? New Michelle Myers? Try to piece together all those elements into one consistent story. THIS MOVIE IS THE TRUE SEQUEL TO THE ORIGINAL 1979 MASTERPIECE.

MO VISUALS Exactly, you’ve made my point even clearer. It doesn’t make sense. What he says doesn’t make any sense because he slipped up and then tried to cover it up because he knows he can’t reveal anything about the movie and just kinda told everyone the biggest reveal of the movie. As soon as he says he gets killed he suddenly stops and changes it to hit and then hit by chairs from actors that don’t know what they’re doing? Doesn’t make sense after he stopped and switched direction. He then stutters for a good 6-7 seconds before complete switching the subject from himself and starts talking about Courtney. I love Nick and feel bad if this was a slip up as don’t want the studios to give him shit for it. Hopefully no one reports on this.
