Kylie Minogue basically is the queen of Nu-disco and electro dance pop. But she is not scared of exploring other genres. Based on your influences - I recommend starting with “Indie Kylie” from 90s era. Tracks like “ Some Kind of Bliss “ & “Did it again “ and the epic “confide in me”. In the 00s standout rock pop tracks like “ Kids” with Robbie Williams and some glam rock “2Hearts”. In the 10s she put out an acoustic album called The Abbey Road sessions” .reworking some of her best dance pop songs of the past. Wild Rose is on there too. She also put out a country inspired album in 2016. Check out her 97 album - Impossible Princess. Dance Pop though is her wheelhouse.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are phenominal!!! Nick can get out there on the dark side for sure. "Up Jumped the Devil" is a favorite but quite dark. Did you check out Nick's movie "The Proposition"? If not do so.

You've found the Aussie music rabbit hole, enjoy the ride. So many great artists that a lot of the world missed out on. Kylie was big in the UK though

Kylie started as a soap star on Australian TV in 1986 as a child she had also acted in other Australian series. Neighbours became one of the most watched shows in Australia and the UK in the late 80s and Kylie first launched a single a cover of the locomotion in Australia in 1987, Neighbours was broadcast 2 years behind Australia in the UK, so after her huge single success in Australia she travelled to London to work with SAW the UK King's of late 80s manufactured pop, her first UK single I Should Be So Lucky was huge around the world except for the US and her first album was the biggest selling album of 1988 in the UK. Kylie recorded 4 albums with SAW and her sound shifted from the 80s manufactured first album to a more early 90s club dance of her 3rd album 4 of her best ever singles came of this album, and the new Jack swing on her forth. After 4 albums in 4 years Kylie left SAW to work with the independent label Deconstruction a hugely risky move for ab artist then considered a soap star turned singer who many critics wrote of as having little talent and no star power. Her 5th album produced the Masterpiece Confide in Me and showed she was capable of reinvention. Her six album while a huge success in Australia proved less successful in the UK where it was pulled from release the day before as it's name Impossible Princess was deemed controversial due to Princess Diana's death the previous day. This indie focused album is firmly considered a fan favourite as it was the first album she wrote every song and it's cutting edge sound. It wasn't released for another 8months and it's buzz had fizzled by that time as it had been available on import with the original name. Kylie and Deconstruction parted ways and after 6 albums many thought her career was over. I stead in 2000 Kylie returned to pop with her classic hit Spinning Around and it's Album became her first Australian no1 and at the time her biggest ever selling Australian album Spinning Around was the most played song on UK radio in 2000 but her album and yhe single Can't Get You Out of My Head remain herbiggest selling ever, even reaching the US top 10 the first time since locomotion in 1988, since then she has released another 8 studio albums, including Tension last year, which also had her biggest hit single since 2012, Padam Padam which she won a Grammy for this year. Kylie is one of the biggest poo stars in the UK with 8 number 1 albums and 35 top ten singles including 7 number 1s. She also has a huge LGBTQI fan base worldwide and most of her US success comes from this community. She has faced exclusion from youth focused radio since 2011 because of her age, but after Radio 1 UK initially saying they wouldn't play it, the songs success on tiktok and Radio 1s competitors they begrudgingly played it. The second single Tension also hit the top 20 and was a huge club hit. I should also add Nick Cave was instrumental in helping Kylie redevelop her musical direction in the 90s by encouraging her to both experiment ie impossible Princess but also reminding her she is a pop star which lead to the disco tinged pop reinvention that was Light Years.

If you haven't already seen it, take a look at Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds performing Stagger Lee at Glasnostbury in 2013. It's an almost 10-minute masterclass in crowd control. There is some coarse language in the song, though, just a warning, in case you don't like that.

@espereactions2 Kylie Minogue is the only artist to have 5 number 1 albums on the UK charts 80,90,00,10,20. Kylie is an excellent singer. I suggest you react to it by singing The crying game medley live on the Fever tour and Confide in me live in New York or Your disco needs you live in Toronto Canada. Here in Brazil Kylie is always number 1. Hugs

The first song you reacted to was from 2001. :) She was in her early 30s. I recommend the music video for Slow (2003) next.

Hi 😊 Will you record your reaction to Polish metal band The Sixpounder "Burn Like Sun"? And on Flamingo Flame "I'm dying"? Flamingo is a new design of the Sixpounder half in a lighter version :) The guys produce everything themselves. Greetings from Poland 🙌
