I love celebrities who use the media and their status to do something good in the world. Nick Jonas is doing great with his campaigns for raising awareness about diabetes. I don't have diabetes, but enjoy science, and some of his work inspired me to do an assignment on diabetes. I shared it with the class and felt amazing that I had contributed to raising awareness :)

I love him and all he does, I'm actually researching diabetes so i can be able to help. It's complex in my opinion and I hope the best for him throughout his years.

my 8 yr old neighbor was diagnosed with diabetes 2 days b4 easter and 1 day b4 her grandma died fromm cancer. shes herself and is in love with nick jonas. hes her hero and she thinks its amazing that his bday is 1 day b4 hers. hes a great example for ppl who hav diabetes.

I agree. I can't stand it when haters come on here and post rude comments. Nick is a great guy and I will support him in any way that I can. I have three of his dog tags and a change for the children t-shirt. I can't afford any more at the time but I'm encouraging everyone I know to get involved also. Help find a cure. Nobody should have to live with diabetes.

I didn't mean to offend you, I'm sorry. I just wanted all the teenage girls to understand the basics of the disease, and that you do not have to be overweight to get type 2 Diabetes. It is a common misconception because the risk is greatly increased for those who are overweight or obese. Overwieght people can be diagnosed with type one Diabetes as well. Though it is more likely they will be diagnosed with type two, this disease shows no partiality.

@27tlk i have it too, and it's not THAT bad. You just have to accept that you, me and many more kids were unlucky. But there are the ones that MORE unlucky, there are so many far worse diseases in the world. And you are healthy, you just have to give a little more effort in measuring your bloodsugar level, injecting the right amount of insulin and so on. Tips: write down how much you inject for each meal, if it was too much or too litle But i agree on that it's a shame that anyone should have it

For some of you to say diabetes isn't that bad living with diabetes SUCKS!!! It affects the way I feel every minute of my day! Yes it is a controlable disease but it is REALLY hard for me to control I have highs and lows ALL the time and I would trade anything in the world to not have it and to be able to live just a normal healthy life. Those of you that don't have it are SOOO lucky!
