Nick Kristek took some heroin, chewed on a fentanyl patch, popped some OxyContin and washed it down with booze. It put him in a four-month coma. He survived, but lives with the consequences.

This story is similar to mine...i was raised by my grandparents but i never got to make peace with my grandfather before he died. He didn't get to see me get sober and i never got to make that amends...it haunts me at times. But i know that punishing myself by reliving it and feeling that guilt.leads to isolation, then depression and then relapse What ever it is guys just talk about it.

I thought I was tripping, 18 years after overdosing on Methadone wafers. My breathing & heart were stopped for nearly 15 minutes! The medics & doctors were dumbfounded, as to how I didn't suffer brain damage. I was dead one minute, too far gone, for medics to move me. So instead, they started working on me, on my bedroom floor. An IV inserted in my arm, and another in my neck. They just about gave up, then suddenly I was back. Long story short, in death, I was 100% aware.. I knew somehow I'd died. The second that reality hit,...something showed up to.."collect" me. It was more terrifying than anything I've experienced before. It caused me to instinctively start praying for help. Right after that, I was back in my room, but still not alive. I could see my mom, and older sister staring down at my floor, at the foot of my bed. That's where medics were still working on my lifeless body.. It still freaks me out.
