“Raising food with your family, preparing that food with your family, and just going about the daily life on a farm, you suddenly don’t need modern distractions.” Farmer and author Helen Rebanks and her farmhand, who happens to be Emmy Award-winning actor Nick Offerman, sit down with Desi Lydic to discuss Rebanks’s book “The Farmer’s Wife,” which celebrates the often-invisible work carried out by women around the world. They chat about the origins of their friendship, their favorite recipes, and how Offerman reconnects to his roots on the farm. #DailyShow #NickOfferman #Farming

Yes, indeed. There seems to be a meaningful evolution and no small part of it has to do with having multiple faces and voices hosting and playing off each other. It's rather amazing to go from "needing" a single host (and Stewart was and still is absolutely amazing and unique) to finding the current format and participants bringing so much to the show.

It’s so nice, refreshing and such a breath of fresh air to watch folks being interviewed that are so genuine and real for a change rather than superficial self-involved (hollywood) types. That said, to be fair, I suppose, in a way, they are not immune to being self involved in a way either, however, it’s much more enlightening and admirable of a conversation.

find your local farmers, talk to them, find out the best way to support them and the best ways to purchase their products, be it a CSA-type model, or maybe a farm store on their land (such as my veg farm), or local farmers markets (the lesser of the options, but still worthwhile. farmers markets have many issues that I won't get into here. it all comes down to: know farms, know food)

I'm not on socials, so I hope this gets to Mr. Offerman (I may or may not have been one of the folks holding your umbrella on The Last of Us). Check out With Our Own Hands by L. Jamila Haider. It's a journey through Afghanistan and Tajikistan to experience how the rural folks out there make their food. It's an award winning cookbook, a storybook, kind of a memoir. It's also one of the very few books ever to feature a foreword from now King Charles, so it's got that going for it. Even if you're not Nick, check it out!

Lol, that's so funny, I always thought morgan at gold shaw farms should call Nick Offerman to help him learn to be a better farmer (he has adhd and is doing great for a new farmer, but). Or at least fix some sheds. I kind of felt it was a silly notion, and it may yet be, but go figure, he really is interested in farming. My other idea was in the specific bear and the specific man debate i wanted to choose the bear or choose the man, I'd choose the black bear that politely takes one candybar a day from a gas station, and Nick offerman, because I fee like he'd get me home safely and tell some funny stories. It would work to have both as long as I had enough candy bars. But here's hoping that means I get to hang out with one or the other. Lol

Yeah, calling out people minding their own business is so exhausting. You just don't have to talk to them. A quick smile if you make eye contact to let them know you're not hatin' them for being fat is all that's needed. And as for the intake issues, it can be depression, ADHD, PCOS, or a food desert issue. And there are professionals that will help better than this post pretends to (I also hope it's satire, but I've heard how fat people get intrusive "positive" comments all the time)
