toasterrabbit no man, you got it the other way around, the way I see it is that ever since Nick got kicked, the band sounds completely different but still sound amazing, I think if Nick was still in, there would definitely be more stoner rock material than what they do now, still queens sounds amazing without him but if nick was still with them, I think they would sound 10x better

RockstarGamer45 First of all he is playing a guitar in this videos not a bass. Second go back and listen to some of his Bass Riffs from SFTD or Rated R, they destroy the stuff Shoes is doing in the last couple albums. Not even close man....I feel like Queens lost a lot with Nick. The new stuff is ok but it is lacking that badassness Nick brought to the table.

Senor Panda Cause Josh is a greedy bastard. And since he kicked Nick out everything QOTSA has written is total shit. Nick was the song writer with the catchy hooks in the group. Josh apparently can't write anything catchy without Nick. Era Vagina was a horrible album.

anthonyintheuk how many international tours has Nick done since leaving queens? How many sold out stadiums? Nick is one person queens is a band not just Nick.

How many solo artists do you know that sell out a stadium without so much as a backup band? Plus Queens is just riding the wave of success they created for themselves while Nick was in the band. Nobody is buying out concerts to hear their new crap. They're going because they love their old stuff. The stuff Nick helped write and then had stolen away from him. If Nick got together with another group of musicians and started writing catchy rock songs again I bet they'd be bigger than Queens. Only time will tell I guess. My whole point is that despite a band being a band some people contribute more to the song writing formula than others.

anthonyintheuk don't get me wrong...I think Nick was awesome But Queens always planned on having every album sound different So it was bound to evolve and change. Nick just screwed himself over by being a drug head.

jwoods I hate when people say stuff like what you just did. Most people learn by figuring out someone else's songs, and then later write their own. It's called having a musical influence. Some people only want to play along with their favorite artist. Don't tell people how to enjoy music. Just do your thing, whatever YOU decide that is.
