I love how this is a dark joke (loss of human life causes bureaucratic inconvenience), but also grounds nick in his humanity with his partner. He's camped out and jonesing to kill, but a dumb joke brings him back

I think the best thing about “Forever Knight” being set in Toronto is that you don’t have to keep reminding yourself to ignore the obvious Canadian accents the way you did on shows like “The X-Files” that were shot in Canada, but pretended not to be. There’s no, “The Cigarette Smoking Man is probably from Minnesota! That’s why he talks like that!”

I’m so excited for the rest of this series!! But also, the fact that you left out why the fiancé “Psycho-ed” the pregnant doctor had my eye twitching lol Like, I know fundamentally it doesn’t really matter how people justify doing horrible things to people, what matters is the people that were hurt, the lives that were changed or ended and how we can help. In real life, with real horrible things that happen, that’s how we should deal with it. But in the world of fiction I’m just so CURIOUS about how someone could possibly justify “Psycho-ing” someone like that. I need to knooooow. (But also I could just look it up so ultimately please don’t worry about having to, like, re-record anything please Mildred!! This was just a random tangent that, hopefully, will help boost ya with the dreaded algorithm.)

Given the "tune" its sung to , it MIGHT be a reference to another KZfaq channel, Internet Comment Etiquette, who had a theme song made with similar melody and wording. By an Artist called "Hot Dad", I believe. As a fan of said channel, I smirked when I heard it, but its possible it's just a weird coincidence. Even if you don't care for that style of humor, ya gotta admit the theme song's an earworm.

I am really enjoying this series. I think you should have a LaCroix counter as you go, lol. Also I have a suggestion for a future movie to review. I think it has what may be thought of as a puppet of the wet variety and some really fun monster effects. Its called "Onyx the Fortuitous and the Talisman of Souls". I like hokey movies and I really love the main character.

When you go back to a show thirty years later, funny thing, you can instantly *tell* that everybody has ahistorical hairstyles in the period flashbacks, but I suspect nobody at the time even noticed, because everybody inexplicably still thought a rattail was just a normal hairstyle for a guy to have.

I knew a bunch of people that worked on an indie movie with Gary Farmer. It shot in Vermont in the middle of winter and was a hellish experience but by all accounts the worst part was working with Farmer who was basically a toxic prick the whole time. My guess is that the "vibe" Capt. Stonetree has of always feeling like he's thinking of something else and that he couldn't be bothered is really just Farmer phoning it in.

I do get that narratively, the massage doctor Cole being the real killer seems more satisfying, but personally, I'm glad it's not the lesbian(??) but just the shitty fiance. Brutally murdering her after she just lost a patient who she mourns is just so next level cold if you tried to ease her discomfort with a massage. And she's not even a vampire. Probably. I haven't seen the show.

No, what would have really made this episode great would have been if the doctor who algorithm-ed herself (but actually didn't because she was murdered. Strange how KZfaq is okay with references to homicide, but not... you know..."Algorithm") had not only wanted her sapphic piece of minge, but had used the cancer patient to get pregnant. She had to do this, because not only was her fiancé a lousy lay, but he had low sperm motility as well. So she got pregnant by Cancer Man (cuz he's gonna die soon, so he won't be around to put up a paternity stink) and then she and Doctor Butch could then raise the baby as Mommy and Mommy. That would've been so good.
